I find the prices on the Monkey Island games obscene

. Three years ago I was desperate to get Monkey Island 3, but shocked to see the price was ranging into thirty pounds, even into the fourtys! I have a very low amount of money and most of that is spent on weekly shopping, and this stopped me from getting Monkey Island 3, the game I saw and loved at first sight, until just over a month ago! The prices aren't affordable for many people, and lots of us have to wait afew YEARS until the price comes down to, say, 15 pounds. But none of us want to wait that long. It's probable that the same thing will happen for me with Monkey Island 4. I only managed to get MI1, 2 & 3 because they were in The Bounty Pack. Monkey Island 4 - I have looked all around town and the prices are all from 39.99. This is outragous. Post your thoughts on this terrible pricing for Monkey Island.

I am lucky to get 10 pocket money a week, and when MI4 and MI3 came out, i saved up that, and a pound from dinner moneyt, to get them in 2 weeks!!! so i am not as outraged as you, its expected!! CHill your life, man!

I too have grown up responsibilities, I have my own house and car and I am a student, and it is hard to find money for things. I often have a look in ebay. You can pick up some bargains there and they often have new releases too.

£39.99? THat isn't nice. Most games around my area are £30 on release. Try shopping around, or else look on the Internet, for lower prices. Try not to go into vastly-known shops like PC World. On the other hand, avoid little-known shops. Go for the in-betweenies, like Game and EB.

yeah, that was sarcasm.

taking 2D would be like someone taking the monkey from brighteyes sig, or the stork from storkens, they may not have custody of these characters, but i wouldnt agree to anyone "nicking" them.

now, i didnt ORDER him to change it, i asked nicely. and i hope he will change it. as it does franklly **** me off. (especially as my next sig was suposed to feature 2D in tha pose)

Maybe and NiKo could come to a compromise on the sig, I dunno, I mean I can see why NiKo is so upset, and I would be too, but at the same time it's not like NiKo owns the copyrights to using 2D on his sig... I think that's what Helly is trying to say (maybe I'm wrong, I dunno)

Monkey in brighteyes sig: a pic taken from somewhere, which nobody knows of, and finding a similar one would be easy.

2D: An extremely well known figure of late, and out of 6 of the boards I visit, there's at least 2 people with sigs using a Gorillaz character.
It's a fad, people want to, and will, use it.

i had a really bad day. my best freind that i know all my life has just started smoking, drinking, taking druggs etc... and i tried to talk him out of it and he got really mad at me. we have never been mad at each other before. so i just got really depressed because of that whole thing, i wasnt thinking straight.

There's not much you can do though, and it's unfortunate. Once people start smoking, drinking, taking drugs it's hard to give up. My friend smokes, she's tried giving up but finds it impossible. At least she's given up drugs, so that's a good thing. I know how you feel though. All you can really do is still be there for him. It is his life and while you know the dangers of what smoking and drugs can do to you, I know my friend started smoking to try and fit in, and now look at her, been smoking since she was like 14

well okay, he's 19 now, 20 in a month. so he's allowed to do drinking and smoking and such. but still, i dont know this guy anymore.
he just got a plastic operation and now he's working as a construction builder, so life hasnt been easey on him. he even treid to kill himself with pills 2 times and threw them up at the last minute.
i dont know what to do with him.

OMG, NiKo. That sucks. Get him help if possible, quick! This may sound dumb but: squeal, the more you squeal when it comes to drugs the better it gets. It sounds dumb and bad and wrong, but if i can get my 13 year old best friend of pot and beer by squealing than so can you.
