WIP: Episode I Mod
I'm working on a small SP episode I mod with models, skins, maps etc. It will effectively be a RPG mod with about five playable characters - Qui Gon Jinn, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin (in podracer), Captain Panaka and Jar Jar Binks.
I'm thinking somewhere along 8 - 12 levels:
Federation Ship * Finished except for one final touch
Cutscene * Finished
Naboo Swamp * WIP
Ohto Gunga/ underwater.
Naboo - Theed
Tatooine Podrace
*Coruscant Cutscene* (Can't think of any level possible)
Naboo Gungan attack 1
Jedi/Panaka attack 1
Naboo Gungan Attack 2
Panaka attack throne room
Jedi Dual
Completed models:
Qui Gon Jinn - *retouching needed - will do l8r lol*
Obi Wan Kenobi
Battle Droid
Droideka - with custom anims
AAT
MTT
Federation Drop Ship
Federation War Ship
Screens (needing reskinning):
Federation Ship:
Cutscene of landing:

Looks interesting, should be good if pulled off right (think like an updated TPM game). Keep up the work on the textures and i'm sure the project will succeed and be popular (unlike what that KOTF turned out to be).

The game for Episode 1: The Phantom Menace (sorry i have a bit of a habit using abbreviations). I thought the game was good (still have it for my PC) but like the film was sadly underrated.

Ahh yes. What a great game - still have it aswell. And yes it will be something on the lines of that but some parts will have to be scooped out. Unless someone knows a way to make dialog, parts like tatooine will have to be removed as they dont have enough action. Of course the better combat capabilities of Jedi Academy makes the latter part of the film promising (fingers crossed).

Wow, you actually made the models by yourself even although they were already made by other people and you could borrow them. Just because of that, you made me a believer. Keep on the good work

Will do. Atm i'm struggling with the complexities of rivers and forest terrain which is impossibly wide, open and makes your skyboxes look dreadful.
Once i get away from the bl**dy federation landing craft which are massive (hence the open spaces) I'll be right on track (he says lol)
EDIT: Also from my perspective it wouldn't be my mod if i didn't make the models
EDIT: Just got the terrain/environment/lighting sussed. Its now just getting the whole map made which should be soon *prays to God for more spare time*. Then there will be some alpha testing (pm me if your interested) then i'll put the part 1 beta test out.

Well, texture work looks very bland at the moment, but you said it was W.I.P., so I'll wait for release.
Also, some bigger pictures wouldn't go astray.

I'll try for the pics but am finding very little time for the mod atm.
The textures for some of the models will be re done at some point before the first release. It gets to that point when u've been working on the model and you really cant be bothered to skin it properly and with the vehicles i put a plain flat texture on the whole thing as a temporary solution so i didn't get stuck on doing that one vehicle.
Will try and find time!

No, I think the models are fine (from what I can see), I just think that the textures on the map are abit repetetive.
I look forward to seeing this mod.
Also, for some more input, you may want to put this on the FileFront gaming forums, in the JK3 Modding and Editing section.

Cheers I may have a look at that. It's all from one level so that could be the reason. Also I haven't done a light compile on those screens so that may improve the aesthetics.

Why don't you join our mod? Its called Chronicles, since we're doing exactly the same thing as you. Plus there's a lot of stuff we haven't/can't do that you seem to have done. So we'd REALLY appreciate the input.
We're well on the way with our Trade Federation Ship (almost completely coded 1/3 and ready for a demo soon-ish), we've got the Naboo swamps coming along nicely, Naboo Streets are getting there and we've got a couple of nice models.
We'd appreciate your help if you want to help us out. There's no sense stepping on each other's toes and releasing two different mods which do exactly the same thing.
Please come to our forums:

Unfortunately whilst working on this mod I ran into some engine difficulties and do not think the engine can support the kind of things I want to do.
However the Chronicles team look more equiped to provide a really good mod and I will be interested in their development - definitely one I want to play.
