Xbox 360 controller

Hi

I have just bought a wireless xbox360 controller. I was just wondering if anyone had used one for XWA and if so, how did it fair?

thanks

Quite honestly, why don't you just get a joystick like most adults use for flight sims.

This game isn't pod racing, rouge squadron or Naboo Fighter

thanks for the really unhelpful and patronising reply

I do have a mk1 sidewinder forcefeedback but unforunatly the computer i now play on doesnt have a joystick port so it has been rendered obsolete.

a dual analog gamepad seems better than a joystick these days for most stuff anyway. lots of buttons, dual analog sticks, analog triggers. the only thing i can see missing is a twisting stick for yaw/roll (which for xwa could be assigned to the triggers i guess)

Last word about controllers...if Windows supports it, XWA (and the other Windows games in the X-Wing series) can use it.

just been testing this.
it works pretty good, think ive finaly set up a good key map.
the only thing bad is that the 2nd analog stick is set to roll but it uses the y axis of the stick instead of x

They make USB adapters now for game ports capable equipment. I have had a Wingman Extreme 3D for over 10 years now that works like a champ, I can still snipe TIEs at extreme range, and it uses an adapter
