My new PC

I forgot.
Here my new PC: (I keep my old PC for Inet!)
XPS 630: Intel Core 2 Quad Core Extreme QX6850 (3 GHZ, 1333 Mhz FSB, 8 MB Cache)
4 BG Ram DDR2 800 MHz (4X1024 MB)
1,2 TB (2X640 GB)
4X Blu-Ray DVD+/-RW
1 GB ATI Radeon 3870 X2
128 MB Ageia PhysX PCI card
Soundblaster X-Fi XTreme
European Dell A525 Speakers

The new adventures are waiting for me.

What PC do you have?

And I installed Indy 6 on this PC. The loading screen tooks 40 sec. to 3 min. or so.
Now on the new PC 1-2 seconds! I don´t see the loading screen any more.

Ace. Looks like a heartily excessive upgrade — just the way I like it! Are you going to be joining us for crazy Mojo Team Fortress 2 fun? Just look at those hours on the side, man.

My machine's been very similar for a while now after my May 2007 upgrade, although I did slot in some new components a few months after making that post. As such, the current load-out is:
  • Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 @ 3.0GHz (overclocked)
  • 4GB o' Corsair DDR2 XMS2-6400C4 TwinX (4×1GB)
  • Creative X-Fi Fatal1ty Professional
  • Asus P5B Deluxe
  • BFG GeForce 8800 GTX OverClocked (600MHz) 768MB
  • 300GB PATA Samsung hard drive
I've actually had a 500GB SATA drive sat under my desk to replace this one with since about January, but I just can't be arsed. :~

I run games at 1920x1200 so if I see a cheap 8800GTX knocking around I'll probably consider running in SLI. Otherwise this remains a pretty solid machine, and I think it'll keep me going well into the next major generation of PC hardware.

My machine is pretty rad... at least, it was when I bought it in 1967.
  • 324 bytes of RAM
  • Windows 67
  • Internet 0.1
  • Paint Shop Pro 3
  • Word 2008

@Thrik
Thanks. But it´s a new one. My old PC is now for Inet and MS-Dos. And it´s a Pentium 4 2,46 GHz, 120 GB and 256 MB Ram (upgradet to 512)
The more better PC of this series has 3,16 GHz (Overclocked). And more (very) expensive.

That reminds me: I must test the old MS-Dos games on Vista!

I'll share my fairly new laptop

Lenovo IdeaPad Y510

Intel Core 2 Duo T5550 @ 1.83GHz
2GB RAM
NVIDIA 8600M GT
250GB Hard Drive

Not the most screamin' machine around but it does what I need it to do (play WoW ) and its a big upgrade over my desktop which still has a Pentium 4. I also got an employee discount on it through my father.

Well, it certainly doesn't stand up to those gaming rigs, but it gets by pretty well with most games...

Asus Laptop:
Vista Home Premium (Yes it's good!)
Core 2 Duo @ 2.2 Ghz
2 Gig of Ram
250 gb HDD
ATI Mobility HD 2600 w/ 512 Meg Ram (DX 10 Goodness)

Quite a fun machine to work and play on...

Asus really makes some nice laptops nowdays, and they've usually got some good prices on newegg if you're considering getting a laptop check them out.

If I die today, I'm happy how my life turned out
