Unable to load saved multiplayer games

Very frustrated new game owner -- we love the game, want to keep playing multiplayer galactic campaigns online.

Unfortunately, while the game starts fine and the internet connection tests out, we cannot successfully load saved games from the campaign.

as host, if i've saved, when i load it up with my friend, i go to the game but he appears as a disconnect and on his screen he starts the particular game over from the beginning.

This is a gold edition of the game, with the patch installed. NO CLUE what's to be done and we've checked all the NAT settings, etc...

Has anyone else experienced this???

so i called lucas and they said they don't support windows vista....

ridiculous.

so i use a dual boot with xp now, don't have this problem though still have sync errors and lost saved games sporadically.
