I have Rock Band 2, along with a healthy amount of DLC and I can drum fairly ok on hard. Don't ask me to do Constant Motion or Painkiller on Hard though.

Though me drumming at the hours we would play at would probably not be best. >.>.

I also have Halo 3, COD4:MW, and Soul Calibur 4

@scar: you don't have an xbox 360, so it doesn't matter.

heh something kinda funny happened today.....remember that thong i found in my old apartment? i thought i had thrown it away. SOMEHOW it ended up in my dad's laundry. my mom found it and was like 'WTF?' that was fun explaining.

That is assuming that is also in their intentions as well... which, knowing my history with the other gender, is a rather outlandish assumption indeed.

I seriously doubt any of them would ever think of me that way... I'm starting to seriously have doubts anyone ever will... and maybe that's for the best.

forced myself to wake up at 4:30 when my alarms went off. gonna head out to the track. it's a few degrees warmer than it was on wednesday.

the wind was annoying enough to put my time at 17:31. I'm going to run every day until next friday and see if my time improves.

Attending a friend's wedding craziness today and tomorrow. Party tonight; ceremony and reception on Sat.

Which kinda sucks for timing... since today and tomorrow at work are both very easy, big money days. I hated taking them off.

Oh well.

I'll try to have a good time... but I generally hate attending weddings. I can't remember a single one that I've attended where I had much fun.

I also hate weddings. If you don't like to get drunk and party, there's not much else there, unless it will be a situation where you will see some old friends or family that you don't usually get to see...who you actually WANT to see, of course.

Yeah... that's pretty much it.

I don't drink. I can't dance. I really don't enjoy socializing in a large group, or in loud situations. Romance is totally wasted on me...

Sounds like it's gonna be a great time!

Whoo-hoo.

There will be a couple of people there I haven't seen in a while... so that will be nice.

But beyond the "What have you been doing for the last couple of years?" catching up aspect of it... I don't suspect there will be all that much to really talk about.

I hope I'm wrong though.

We are talking about it. Not jumping into it. I have never had a relationship that has "Clicked" like this before. So i know to hold off. in fact, for that very reason I am not going to move closer to her til may or june. If it can stand 11 months of LTR, we can see how it goes for a few months as a serious couple withen close proximity.

She wants kids .. badly.. but i told her there is no way I am going to let that happen until we have commited to eachother and have been married

Commited? is that the right word. Sounds like we should have jackets with no holes for hands and padded walls

Well, I think really LONG courtships are just as bad as ones that are too brief. If you have been dating for four months (and really dating, not just known each other as friends), and you think there is a real future here, and have talked about it, I'd say moving closer sooner rather than later is a good thing. Because there isn't really much more you can learn from a distance. If the constant contact reveals that you wouldn't be good for each other in the long run, you'll want to find that out sonner rather than later.

way too cold out today (20-21 degrees). i did a mile then stopped short of completing lap 5. lost feeling in my hands, guess next time i'll wear gloves. my 1 mile time was slower than it should have been (8 minutes 40 seconds). i'm really starting to hate fall and winter now.

doing a new thing to improve my situps/pushups, doing 5 sets each of 20 pushups, situps, and squats. hopefully this will help me be able to do more pushups and situps. getting killed on the run isn't fun, at least i can do pushups and situps without getting a cold injury.

Or he's avoiding the 360-heavy conversations we have been having lately...

Party last night was OK. Low key. Pizza and bowling. (Candlepin.) I did better than most at the bowling... though not as good as I would have liked.

One guy from down south who had never played Candlepin before broke 100 on his first try. Freaked us all out...

Went out and updated my dress clothes wardrobe yesterday. I realized that my newest suit was almost 10 years old, and that I haven't owned a real pair of dress shoes since before I moved in here. (2001)

So between taking 2 big-money days off from work, buying a wedding gift, and all new formal clothes, this wedding has set me back quite a bit, personally.

I better have a great time today... that's all I'm saying.

what i'm saying is that the thread as of late has become more of a "hey want to hook up later?" sort of thread

aside from that, there really isnt anything big happening with me the past few days

other then withdrawing from chem, cus it sucks, like I care about net ionic equations

and skipping class yesterday, cus I only had the one class, intro to comp science. where they're talking about OS's

glad I got the standing permission from the professor to only show up during quizzes and labs

Last night I played some Guitar Hero Metallica with some friends from work. All of Metallica's songs sound alike, and that one song is bad, but playing it in Guitar Hero (on Expert, of course) was freaking ridiculous. We did it because there's a guy at work who recently moved to the U.S. and he was curious about it, after seeing so many YouTube videos of people playing, so he bought the game, and before he decided what sets of instruments he wanted to purchase, we decided to get together so he could play the game and test out his options. I think he liked my Rock Band guitars the best.

We actually had two 360s going right next to each other on two big screen HDTVs. One was playing Guitar Hero, the other was playing Boarderlands. Add in some pizza and you've got a pretty fun evening.

Also mowed the lawn today, hopefully for the last time this year.

Also, I purchased a boxset of the complete Mozart operas on 44 CDs. It rocks.

I imagine so... though that sounds like a lot to get through.

The wedding was... OK.

Didn't have a horrible time... but I also can't say I was having the time-of-my-life, either.

With the groom being a metal-head guitar player, it was a "rock" themed wedding... which was more fun than many I've attended. At least the DJ music was all stuff I recognized.

So... if I understand the tradition correctly... I am to be the next of the single gentlemen that were there to get married.

I insisted there was a colossal cosmic mistake, and I actually handed the garter back to the groom for a re-do.

No... it went to me. I didn't even catch it... nobody did. But it was touching my foot when all was said-and-done.

I felt kinda bad too... because the boyfriend of the girl who caught the bouquet was the only non-deadbeat sleazebag musician in the crowd of "single guys." He was the only one who actually put the slightest bit of effort into catching it as well...

I felt like I stole his thunder. (Not to mention: felt up his girlfriend, while I was at it... when I had to put the garter on her leg. )

I left right after that... didn't think there would be another "high point" to the night that could top that. Plus I have to work in the morning.

I might actually have some pics to post of me in a suit,.. sans hat and vest (and currently, sans beard as well...) at some point.

Yeah, I was wondering what the vest situation was going to be. Would you, like, just wear it over your suit or would you wear it like you would wear the vest of a three-piece suit... I have to say, I'm a bit disappointed.

i got to see a dead kid today. i thought it was a joke since it's just after halloween....but then i saw the casket and examined it (was covered in letters from kids that drew their notes and such on the casket, one included a picture of a boy being hit by a car) anyway then i see the kid in the casket and i'm like 'wtf is this real or some kind of sick joke?' then i see the casket in the funeral home. talk about a moment of 'wtf'. the lady didnt come back to pick the pictures up. probably a good thing. i'm off tomorrow......

Hmm... I honestly wish I had it. It would have saved a lot of trouble figuring out where to carry my wallet, cell-phone, sunglasses, and keys. Suit coat pockets just weren't intended for the amount of crap I have to truck around with me.

It's been a very long time since I've been that uncomfortable in public.

ran a mile and a half at the track today. 12 minutes, 40 seconds. i wanna get that time down to 12 minutes. it was hotter out than what i'm used to...and of course there were people up there playing football in the middle of the track so i kinda got distracted (didnt feel like getting hit in the head with a football) and decided not to push 2 more laps since i'll be going out running again tomorrow....hoping for 40-50 degree weather.

playing through ODST on legendary. i'd be on xbox live, but the router isn't working. my friend said he'd sell me his so i just gotta get that from him. or i'll buy a brand new one. (which i'll probably end up doing..) the main thing i hate about ODST's campaign is the constant darkness(daylight glare on the screen FTW there)+the annoying music.

My wireless router croaked this morning.

I'll have to pick up a new one tonight. Fortunately this was a super cheap one, so it's not a huge loss.

Everyone tells me the Apple AirPorts are nice. I guess I'll take a look at them today...

more awesome news about how lame infinity ward is.

no leaning, no console, no kick or ban from mp matches client side. you actually as the host cannot kick a player from a game

they also avoid saying anything about LAN support

I'm looking at this.

1 terrabyte drive, wireless USB hub, and 802.11n... $279 (w/ my educational discount.)

Seems worth it. I paid more than that for an external drive that holds less, and doesn't have the other things.

I'll go to the mall and take a look at it tonight.

But the AirPort Express looks pretty good, too... Only $99 with my discount. That's probably the simplest solution for what I need

Got home, ate, watched "Top Gear"... and dozed off.

No wireless for me tonight, I guess.

Back off to bed before I wake up too much.
