thing is i think the composition will be out of balance without new content at that area....
That Grim Fandango poster is truely amazing, CHAOSMAN, could you pleaaaaaaaase supply Laserschwaert with the appropriate scanned material? It's so cool!

Yeah, plus there's nothing in the sky.. but once it's clean I'll add some clouds to the sky to see how that looks.

I like it with the original sky. I now it's a lot of "nothing" but it looks more interesting as artwork without the logo, if you ask me.
Anyhoo, I had a quick go at the palm trees for you. (A step in the right direction, but not quite perfect.)

Almost there... only a few parts of the palmtree are missing... I guess I'll fill it in similar to you, using the other tree. Furthermore a quick test with some clouds... although maybe they look too real to match the painting? Don't know...

Its looking flipping excellent!
I'll have a quick look at my boxes to see if I have any more of that tree
Edit: Sadly I dont have anything that might help fill that tree in. I guess the best bet is to try and fill it in from the other trees
The image here might be a decent guide to what it is supposed to look like.

Also I quite like the clouds

Should I do some color correction to make it match the original better? The one with the logo too?

It's interesting that that print(?) loses some stuff off the top, but adds to every other side.
Also: Awesome skills LS! (Christ, you must have some serious patience!) The clouds actually look really good, too!

Laserschwert is a by-product of a genetic experiment set up by Jake et al in the mid 90s - he's like a LucasArts machine. Other examples include Gabez (although someone spilt 'essence of posh' into the test tube, c'est la vie) and Remi, who absorbed too much of the 'cool' gene that can be found throughout the LucasArts games, and as such he's - well, too hip for his own good.
Feel free to make hilarious comparisons to the movie 'Twins' and how I must be Danny DeVito. Ho ho...

In fact that "genetic experiment" involved multiplication through cloning... go figure.

I've added a bunch of new MI1-posters to the opening post, including textless versions and color-corrected ones:

Very nice!
I don't want to whine but could you add to the top and bottom of the no-logo version of the MI2 poster to make it the same size as the other ones? That would be great.

The logoless MI2-poster isn't missing anything top or bottom, it ADDS to the left and the right.
But I can make a cropped version. (Edit: Done.)

Haha! I like that.
Awesome work as always, Laserschwert... those clouds look really good.
I didn't know that painting was in the Mojo galleries either.

Actually its both.
Look at this image, it is your image plus parts from top and bottom of the image you linked to me in post #236.
Do you think it is possible to make it look good? The image I borrowed parts from is pretty low res.

LS: I don't suppose you could put links to the actual files you worked on (not layered), before you blew them up? I'm only really interested in MI 1 and 2, and Sam & Max without logos, and I don't really want them "massive" -- and shrinking them back down after blowing them up isn't probably the best thing in the world
Thanks!

Hey CHAOSMAN,
Who is the castmember you got it from?
And is there any chance you could supply a high res digital copy to Laserschwert?
