Meh, lets just hope it was better than that movie...

You know, I haven't watched it yet. Since it's being so critcally acclaimed everywhere - lulz - I'm probably not doing it anything soon.

Well, they did say Max Payne's journey through the night was not over... but what's with the angry hobo look?!

To summarize:

The movie sucks to incredible degrees compared to the games.
If you have any love for a great story presented professionally, you will play both games.
They are plain out awesome.
You will hate the movie for how it raped the games.
Though I suppose we can all be thankful Uwe Boll didn't make that movie.

^Um, thanks? I will get the first two sometime soon, as they are cheap on the PS2, and i've seen some cool Matrix mods for the second one on PC.

I thought the Max Payne movie was alright. But, this is coming from somebody who hasn't played the game, so I can't really compare the two.

I'll probably get it since I never got the chance to play the first two games, even though I wanted too.

I'm probably one of the few people who hated the movie. It was simply a rip off of the first Max Payne game. But lets not get into that right now. Anyway, about Max Payne 3, I'm being quite optimistic about the direction the developers are taking the character Max in. And the dream sequence's in Max Payne 2 were just plain awesome. I hope they add some of those in the third one.

I couldn't watch the movie for more than fifteen minutes. Mark Wahlberg would have been a fine Max, but why the hell was my Jim Bravura Ludacris?

The movie was definitely not nearly as good as it could have been. I mean, unlike some other adaptations, they really had material they could have used for this one. I liked the hallucinations and the NY atmosphere, but the storytelling could have used some work.

As for the next game, there's not enough information just yet to have a proper opinion. I don't really like Max's new look, but I still hope the game will be interesting.

Unfortunately most video game movies don't live up to expectations with perhaps the Resident Evil movies being an exception.

As far as Max Payne goes I definitely look forward to a third installation of the series, and hopefully Max gaining a few pounds hasn't made him any less of a bad mamma jamma
