Day of the Tentacle-Voices?

The voices dont play properly than the game i had before (Borrowed off someone).

How do i get the game to work with ScummVM it makes Background music work but not the voices..

I've messed around with Scumm but it hasnt changed a thing..

Anyone able to shed some light on this?

I don't think all versions of the game had voice acting. I believe if you have the floppy disk version, rather than the CD version, you'll just have to do without I'm afraid.

You mean the way the sea stays steady as a rock and the buildings keep washing up and down? Yes I thought that was odd.

Is there any way to get the CD version?

I had the CD version a few years ago but i lost it..

It was good having to hear the voices of Laverne and Hoagie

Do you hear no voices at all? Because I have the floppy disk version, and it has voices at the beginning and end.

You can still find the CD version as a LucasArts Classic Line game on eBay, for $10

Edit: Strange, they all seem to be a bit more expensive these days. Well, since Lucas isn't selling them. Maybe Amazon has the CD version. You can always "acquire" it, but that's not legal. Not that Lucas is leaving much choice.

I hear the voices for Cutscenes, At the start where Bernard goes all geeky about war..

I really liked Laverne, Purple tentacle, that nurse's voice/laugh

^Yeah, you probably don't have the "talkie" version then...
