To me and pretty much all of my family and friends, it looks like it is swirling out from the center.
If it doesn't swirl to you, just enjoy it because it looks cool.
I, for one, approve of the Ewoks. They're a fine representation of the primitive natives doing better in their own environment than the invading white man.
