I'll dare to post the one on the other end on the spectrum... the "next gen"-Guybrush (okay, maybe it's just the lighting that's "next gen"):

He's not meant to be but it is very hard to show it with the pixels, without it looking weird. Suggestions on how to fix that would be great

Or rather, there should be a site with a fanart section with a database of Guybrushes.

Hey everyone I just noticed somone said that hes missing his beard. Its not realy nesissary when you are doing it with pixels. If you do it wont make a difference realy. At least thats my opinion.
Here they are next to each other with a beard and without.
Heres a close up

I think they both have a beard, it's just not as prominent in one of them.

Yuor site is beginning to shape up nicely, though it still is a bit dull in terms of colour and layout, you could use some kind of logo, and the use of tables may also help, aspecially in that Guybrush gallery, so you don't have to scroll down as much.
You should really add all the names of the authors in that gallery btw.

I think the problem is a lack of distinction between beard and skin. Scapetti, if you take those dark pixels either and and above of Mr. Brush's beard and change them to the slightly lighter colour that dominates most of the right side of his face, it might be a bit clearer.

MS paint is more suited to pixels than Photoshop anyway
To get a good idea of what you're working with, Scapetti's picture would need to be shrunk by 400% (I think), and the pencil tool used.

Yeah, I tried that before and it looks like his neck joins straight into his head See if you can try fixing it

Deluxe Paint is best for proper pixel art. It's what the pros used back in the day.

His head in this picture is not considered to be "in pixel". His body is considered to be "in pixel". They both use pixels but it all depends on the resolution. If I were to make that picture smaller, his head would look like a mess (notice he has only one eye) but the body would look fine.
Considering I am using the same resolution as the original Secret of Monkey Island, then yes, Secret of Monkey Island is "in pixel".
Just to reiterate, the pixels are the squares.
(And yes, I know I made that head look awful. It was only to explain)

If I see this on anyone else's site without asking for my permission first, I am actually going to go mental! Can everyone take this off their fansites, thank you!
I mean heck, crediting is the LEAST you could do when you host an image without permission!

Okay, I have deleted all the posts to clean this topic up. My only real issue now is that the image is still at http://lucasfan.webs.com/apps/photos...otoid=45118006 despite constant reassurance from purple_tentacle_ that he has deleted the image from his site. I just want to know what he has deleted because it certainly isn't my picture...
