The Ahto Christmas '09 Haul Thread

And so it comes to the most important question of the season:

Got any good loot?

====

Christmas is usually small for my family since all the extended family is halfway around the world. We're not really on a gift-giving basis with anyone.
Got these from my immediate family members:

A DVD (awesome movie):

An officially licensed Spongebob Tshirt:

An offically licensed Optimus Tshirt (same thing but in red):

Show spoiler

And a pair of 4kg dumbbells:

^ (mine look nothing like these, but you get the idea.)

Mostly all stuff i wanted. Even the stuff i didn't ask/hint for was awesome (the shirts). So the quality of the haul was great.

mfw I read the Revan novel

it is not a cry of joy.

I can't find out what I got til Sunday. Since I work Christmas and Saturday night, my girlfriend has decided to postpone Christmas til we can share the night together...

Not really complaining, actually it's kinda nice that she decided to really share Christmas with me... Even if our Christmas is delayed a few days.

I giving myself a little vacation to Pasadena CA come January 7th 2010. I’m even going to drive it, so no strip search this time.

Depending on the outcome of the game it will either be a really good present or a really bad one. Not to mention what the outcome will do for the length of the drive home.

Well, I had a pretty disappointing visit. The only thing I was really interested in that I got was Dragon Age: Origins.

And a game I forgot to mention in my last post that I got last night (on the Eve of Christmas) was Oblivion: GOTY edition

Not a terribly big fan of the gift bit of Christmas, mainly because it feels more like a duty than something you do because you care about someone. Anyway, having just moved to a room that didn't include the basic necessities, my haul was a bit predictable.
Trip to Costa Rica a (low end) net book and a two DVD's + a ton of boring but necessary stuff like, kitchen utensils, blankets etc

Checking out seems not to do much.

Well, my 2.5 year old crappy HP laptop (DO NOT BUY HP LAPTOPS) died again, this time permanently, so Point Man bought me a new desktop (quad core, decent memory and hard drive) and set of speakers for it. He also got a nice video card, a set of pajamas, a couple books, and a pair of diamond earrings.

Got this for future use in my travels through African and Asian brush, it's sooooo nice.

It's very well made (It's a HanWei sword, after all) for the price and cuts through small trees quite easy, and I love the locking mechanism it has. I guess it's lucky I've been delayed in being shipped out, my Christmas went very well.

I also got an asston of Martial Arts movies and another punching bag.

I got this year:

A whole bunch of stuff. Clothes, accessories, money, tools, etc.

The stuff you'd all be most interested in:
Darth Bane: Dynasty of Evil novel
Green Laser Pointer
Electric flyswatter
A snuffing glass internally hand painted with dragons shone outward (looks asian)

Bought myself: Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja 4 (Yaaaay, I get to be Temari!!! *schemes*), Iron Maiden: Minutes to midnight CD, and a pair of Scott brand Snowboard gloves.

In a few days I plan to get some new melee weapons and gear to use for Arnis/Eskrima sparring.

And possibly start crafting another custom made lightsaber. What color--any suggestions?
