Game dies at Gloria's play

I recently got psychonauts on steam, and it's a great game, but I've run into a problem. For whatever reason, the game starts running extremely slow if I'm at Gloria's play, specifically when all the people come out on the stage and you can change around the sets and mood. I can play for about five minutes, and then everything just slows down to a crawl and it becomes completely unplayable until I restart my computer. However, it's only a problem with that one specific part. I can play any other part of the game and everything works just fine. Does anyone have any clue why this is happening?

I'm having the same problem. I used to have it in Waterloo, but I turned my graphics way down and it seemed to stop. However it persists in Gloria's mind. I'm running WIndows XP sp3, I bought the game on Steam, have 4 gbs of ram, Dual Core 2 Duo 2.66ghz and an ATI Radeon HD 5870. I had no problems in the Bull Fighter's mind.
