Yes there will be a public release of what I call Act 1. Act 1 consists of the first 8 locations you get to travel to which are composed of the Freighter, Slehayron, Naboo, the Devastator/the Tantive IV, Ansion, the Phoenix, and Yavin IV. This includes the alternative introductions which is why there are so many for the act. In comparison to the original games it would be the equivalent of going from the Endar Spire to Dantooine or the Ebon Hawk to Telos.

And no, I have no idea when the Act 1 release will come out because right now I only have the main plot laid out and it could still use some tune ups in areas. Plus I have side quests, personal quests, populating, skinning, and voice acting to do yet meaning it's going to be a while...

If you are currently voice acting or would like to voice please speak with Timbob12. As of now he is going to be the guy to speak to concerning voice acting. He will assign and distribute lines for all volunteers.

Current voice actors, please continue with what you are doing, just be sure to let Timbob12 know what you're working on so we don't have different people voicing the same character.

There will always be more characters to voice. I'm actually surprised as to how few want to voice act meaning PARTS ARE STILL AVAILABLE!!! However you will need to talk with Timbob because he is now directing the voice over part of the project. I think right now maybe 5% of the characters for Act 1 have been voiced, so parts are still available.

Okay everyone, I know it's been slow now that school is back but I have a question for the community as to what the new gui should look like. Below I have made a screen shot and made reskins to give everyone an idea on what it would look like for the color the community chooses. Please note that I simply recolored them a few times in the course of maybe 5 minutes and the final product will focus much more on quality than what I did just now.

I was going to use a purple Hud in Rise of Marauder, but decided to use red instead. I still like purple though so I say use that one.
BTW could you send me the Red GUI so I can use it in my mod?

Under normal circumstances I would but unfortunately I can't because I don't have them. What I did was simply take a screenshot in the game and then recolored the green interface to be something different. Put simply, I cheated and don't have them completed.

I'd go for purple as well.

Would the color choice also extend to the target reticule on the HUD, the mini-map, and the menu buttons? These "Load Game" screens are all well and good but I think being able to see them on a screen where the character is fighting might make it easier for folks to make a decision. Once you've seen enough entries on this poll, why not pick out the top two entries and see how they look in the game?

Or am I being too picky again?

Yes, when the final product is made the new color will take affect on everything from combat ridicule markers to the force power icons. As of now I really just cheated, took a screenshot, and then reskinned it to make it look roughly what the new color will appear as.

The gold or red ones work better with the frame and are less eye-bleeding bright than some of the others, i'd say gold 1st, red 2nd.

Hey everyone, I know it's been a long time since any word about what's going on with the project has been released, so that's what this is. After many strenuous days of the most irritating of all irritants, college, I have finally made it to Fall Break and thus I should have at least a few days to be able to get down and dirty with SOTE.

I'm not sure if I mentioned this before but I have a rough layout of the entire piece of Act 1 completed!!! Act 1 contains the planets/locations of:
1. The Freighter
2A. Naboo
2B. Slehayron
2C. The Devastator/The Tantive IV
3. Ansion
4. The Phoenix (Temporary ship until the new area is skinned and compiled)
5. Yavin IV

Note that even though you see 7 planets/locations you will only be able to play through 5 of them at a time because 2A, B, and C are alternative introductions. When I say a rough layout, I'm only talking about the main plot. Now that I have some time to waste allowing me to mod, I'm going to running back through the Act 1 content and finalizing the main quests.

In essence THE PROJECT IS STILL ON!!! I just haven't had time due to college.

I know exactly what you mean about college, it has taken up a ton of my time. I was thinking about trying my hand at some skinning but haven't had enough free time to sit down and read the tutorials and actually skin.

Getting back on topic....I think it is really cool that you have alternative introductions.

I have a revolutionary idea that I want to add to SOTE which requires me to rearrange only a little bit of dialog here and there and redo the Freighter module. When I say revolutionary, I mean to the plot and not the physics of the game or anything. Anyways, my question is how would I go about constructing a cut scene of the quality we see in the movies? Also how do I get another companion to become the "player," kind of like how the PC is passed out in the Ebon Hawk in the beginning of TSL and T3 saves the day by you taking control of him.

I... err... can see the connection to the Dxun Jungle tomb module with the party leader companion but I can't go back and figure out how Obsidian did it. I need a step by step instruction as to how to accomplish that. I've tried and the best I can do it separate everyone from the companion I want to lead but the problem is that I cannot get the PC to leave the party.

I believe he used the IsPC check in the UTC file of the character. He did it in all of his reskinned Orion/Formiddable modules as well as Mandalore's ship, Taris besieged by Mandalorians and perhaps a few others.
