Has anyone ever tried to make one? And if not is it even possible?

They may be good but sadly that doesn't mean success. Ex: So far the development of LagAwayGaming's Radio Play is great and sounds amazing but sadly it probably won't get much support.

KevinSocal2k6 has 2,158 YouTube subscribers, 1,239,577 total upload views, his own forum for his KotOR Saga (which has a very active community), and fantastic reviews on his channel/video comments. If that's not successful, I don't know what is.
Also, ABdirector has 46,708 total upload views (yes, I added them up), with only 4 parts up. Not too shabby, and that's also what I would call successful. Another thing I counted was 186 total likes, and only 19 dislikes in his first 5 episodes. So not only was he successful, but his work was loved.
Edit:I meant only 5 parts up.

I tend to use the term Machinima so I never thought to use movie as a tag word.
