Cowboys and Aliens

Just goofing around on IMDb today and I came across Cowboys and Aliens. At first I thought it was going to be something kiddy like Aliens in the Attic. First I saw Olivia Wilde, and thought Thirteen, Iíll go see that. Then I saw Daniel Craig and Harrison Ford and I am sold. Grew up a big fan of the western, then when Star Wars came out I was sold on the fantasy/scifi, not I get the best of both worlds.

Oh wow... I'm interested.

I hardly ever go and see movies at the theatre any more, but I think I'll definitely go see this one.

Yeah, saw an ad for this before Deathly Hallows. Definitely one I plan to see.

That looks mildly interesting. I might go see it.

Chapter 12 of A Soul Adrift is out.

Short stories:
T'katlu: On the planet Felucia, a young apprentice of the Dark Side thinks back to the beginning of her training as she lies in wait for her prey...

All the Time: After four years in the Unknown Regions, the Exile returns to the known galaxy to visit an old enemy.

Broken: A master of the Dark Side finds himself about to lose the one thing he cares about--and he will do anything to stop her from endangering herself.

Caught the preview when I took my son to see the new Harry Potter movie (my first, his 27th or however many there've been).

I was sold at "Jon Faverau". Aside from Elf, I don't think I've been disappointed with anything he's done.

I'll most likely wait for it to come out on video. I rarely, if ever, go to the theater anymore.

The title throws me off completely...so goofy, yet oddly, seriously awesome I will see this movie just cuz' it seems to have potential for greatness (albeit, it could be one of those not-so-famous-yet-famous cult classics )

you very much

Yeah, they definitely could have been just a bit more creative with the title.

Cowboys versus aliens premise? Don't think I've ever seen those two together, might be an welcome addition to the weathered alien invasion plot movies and... cowboys movies? I don't dare say western spaghetti since it's obviouslt not. There are just cowboys in it.

Still, some great names there: Favreau, Spielberg and... crappy visual effects? I'm not one to bitch on the visuals but, damn, the spaceships bombing the town at 1:30 was just poorly done by today standards. I saw the same technique (or at least very similar) being done over and over again on Independece Day. And, God, do I see a rope pulling the cowboy at 1:33?

Inspiration

.Bioshock inspiration.

Welcome to my world. Seen them all with my cousins. I would set through them a hundred more times if it meant not having to watch movies like The Tooth Fairy and Hannah Montana again.

Blasphemer, I shall not listen to someone badmouth Elf in my presents and so close to Christmas at that.

That wrist thing looks awesome. I might give a look-see if slush snow doesn't have me fixing my snowblower.

We'll murder them all, amid laughter and merriment...except for the few we take home to experiment!

I've been following this movie for a while, and yes, it looks damn impressive.

Some people have been ragging on Ford's acting in the trailer, but I don't really get it. Seems like a perfectly good portrayal of an old, washed up sheriff to me.

Definitely seeing it. The premise strikes me as a bit goofy, but you can't go wrong with Harrison Ford and Daniel Craig.
