Sort of reminds me of the gungan cities from TPM...

Welcome to city of future
Welcome to the city of the future. Tianjin is China's first eco-city, designed by the Surbana Urban Planning Group, and is set to be completed in 2020.

Bubble cities are not new. They've been around since at least the 60's. And they all have the same problems. Recycling the air inside, and heat generation. I certainly wouldn't want to live in a bubble city version of Phoenix haha. It would be like ALWAYS having your windows rolled up in your car. A failure of the air recycling system would cause the bubble to become insanely hot rather quickly. Though admittedly, you can control what goes in a bit better. But the cost of cooling would be very high.

Plus, I'd miss rainstorms and cool spring breezes.
