Neeson to voice Qui-Gon Jinn
Yes, it is for TCW, and yes I know many nerd rage about it. But to me more Qui-Gon is always good, and the fact that Neeson is doing it is all the better.

Now I guess I'm going to have to dust the DVR off to catch up on season three before 01/28/2011.
Thanks for sharing the information Prime.

Yay! Qui-Gon is probably my favorite from the prequels as well.

As I detest all things Clone Wars at this point, I'll probably wait to see if his scenes are uploaded to YouTube.

When I read this news, I thought that he could have done his voice role for RotS on the Blu-ray. It can't be a coincidence.

You can always watch previous episodes, including season 3, on www.starwars.com
@topic - It's about time they brought Qui-Gon back, his legacy on screen was too short. I'm just glad they got Liam Neeson to reprise his role instead of getting some cheap voice actor to do it.

Much speculation going on about this. That would be one addition to the films that I would certainly welcome.

Man, pretty much fell away from watching TCW after first season, but caught it hit-n-miss the 2nd one. Haven't seen it for awhile now.

TCW has very much improved over the first season. I think many people are missing out after being initially turned off.

Yeah... I had recorded TCW on my dvr and went back and watched the Nightsister trilogy thing... (the most recent recorded) and they were a major improvement over the first season... I was like "O_O woah."

Agreed.
The first season, I was confused by Ahsoka and the nicknames, and felt it was made a little too much for the kiddies. Being a stalwart fanatic, I ignored these feelings and continued to watch.
My only complaint now about TCW is that the episodes are too short

Totally agree.
Sounds like I'm in the same boat as many others. I watched some of the first season but felt the show was really shooting for the kids and pre-teens. I didn't get much enjoyment out of it personally. However this announcement has piqued my interest and since some of you say The Clone Wars has gotten better maybe I'll start watching again.

Not to say there still aren't legitimate complaints, playing loose canon being one. But there is certainly less slapstick and silliness.
For me, ultimately, I just enjoy seeing Kenobi and Skywalker being portrayed as the heros and friends we never really saw in the PT.

Unless it's in a flashback, that makes even less sense than Qui-Gon appearing. However, I am greatly looking forward to hearing Neeson reprise the role tonight.

Okay, I finally decided to give it another shot(watched a few episodes on on-demand). I think I'm convinced now that the bad things about TCW came about because of Ashoka. Without her the show seems much better. Maybe I'll go and watch back episodes.

Who is the Ashoka for which you speak?
They seem to have toned down Ahsoka during season one. I don’t mean I accept her as Anakin’s Padawan, but even a few episodes that featured her have been tolerable (the two that come to mind are “Brain Invaders” and “Lightsaber Lost.”)

Can't say I agree with that one. But yes, even in Season 1 she was toned down. There are even some good episodes with her on that season.

Yes, but her intolerability was used as part of the story, so to me it worked for the story in that episode.

In my review of the original movie screening of TCW I mention I outright loathed Ahsoka both for how she acted and how she didn't fit the established story.
I don't really mind at all how. They've really toned down the teen-rage-against-authority and made her a more well rounded character.

I was REALLY confused for a second, but now that I know how he's coming back, that's awesome. I'm not a huge fan of TCW, and this kind of conflicts entirely with Obi-Wan's reaction at the end of Episode III to hearing that Qui-Gon had come back from death, but I've learned to just smile and pretend that there's nothing sacred in Star Wars anymore.
It is all that is left unsaid upon which tragedies are built.

Its amazing how he make such lines as "stay in that cockpit" sound completely natural and logical.
Too bad he was only in one SW film...

I had hope that he would also record his lines for the Blu-ray of RotS, but the commentary of "Overlords" made it sound like he was specifically asked to reprise his role for the series alone.
But we never know...

Watching Overlords on SW dot com. I think Lucas has lost his marbles.
I, for one, approve of the Ewoks. They're a fine representation of the primitive natives doing better in their own environment than the invading white man.
Take that, Avatar.
