Oh my... Wander.. err.. Wonder Woman

First look at the new Wonder Woman costume. Not really sure what I think to be honest.

Clicky

Not a fan of the blue boots.. and still can't think of why on earth she was ever put in heels...
I can live with the pants... I suppose
Bracers.. eh.. too big? Though makes sense if you're deflecting bullets.. heh

Kinda cheap, plastic-y in my opinion.. though admittedly my eyes wander elsewhere if I stare to long hmm.. Wander Woman

One thing though.. it's stating it as a TV pilot. I thought this was going to be a movie? When (or did) that change?

Too......much.......clothing. No, really. I agree about the cheap look. So, a reboot of the Lynda Carter (talk about wandering eyes ) series. Didn't know they were going that direction.

Ah, good to see they're taking a relatively famous heroine and turning her into an 'exotic dancer'.

I actually -like- the outfit she's got in J. Michael Straczynski's take on her, too. Irritating.

Each one looks like a rocker. Seriously, all that is missing is a electric guitar.

I rather see Wonder Women in her old costume.

Yeah, but they're cheap Party City spandex pants that probably cost about $8.00.

It looks really cheap. Everything looks like it's made out of plastic.

I didn't know David E. Kelley was behind the show, though - that must surely give it a little boost?

And your point?

I dunno how but this actually looks sluttier.... Maybe it's the girl... or maybe the blue pants from the S&M store...

Not as sure as I originally thought.
Just found a break down of the pilot script (draft). ick.
I can only hope that this draft has been fine-tuned since (article dated Feb.2nd I think).

Informative, fun, makes one think...excellent post Chainz

In any case...looks a bit Power-Ranger-ish to me. But still. It's a gorgeous woman so no man will probably notice all the plastic.

Wait. That last part didn't come out right.

This.

Oh Lynda Carter. She was still incredible looking in Super Troopers!

The new outfit does indeed look cheap. The pants wouldn't bother me so much if they were better made and not so $20 street-ho.

From that plot treatment, the show sounds like a train wreck.

As for the costume, Wonder Woman has always looked ridiculous IMO, but this looks like a cheap plastic costume someone could buy at Wal-Mart for Halloween or a convention.

I'm going to give this one a miss.

Sadly true. Of course it's never really been about the costume so much as how it hugged hot curves.........I mean fit.

Can't we just kill the old superheroes already and come up with new ones already? These people were made in the pre-WW2/WW2 eras. The world doesn't have Axis powers and art deco buildings and robbers wearing striped outfits anymore.

An original idea? unheard of! I think they've all been done anyway...I don't know if they could come up with new superheroes even if they tried.

You're probably right. You know the idea box has been thoroughly explored when even mainstream comic publishers like DC have published characters like the Defenestrator (A large man who carries a window around to throw evildoers through), or Dogwelder (who, well... just look at the picture)

Their teammates have the diverse powers of:
-Grotesque drunkenness and beating villains with broken-off liquor bottles.
-Defeating evil with the power of perversion.
-Shooting powerful energy blasts that can only hit allies.
-Frenchness.
-Expelling large volumes of phlegm, which can blind, suffocate, or simply disgust evildoers.
-Disconcerting evildoers with stuttering and some sort of shaking palsy.
