HMV in Canada only started supporting video games a few years back. It's never ever had PC games, though.

Mh, itīs like the re-releases in Germany, New Zealand, Australia and Great Britain. Well it was an campaign from Activision. And Activision is not in the USA. But who understands the LucasArts of today.

Collection just turned up, simple DVD case and Manual isn't much to run home about, for some reason the manual covers not just the PC keyboard layout but the 360 controller layout, no mention of PS3 controller and its only 8 pages.

Mixnmojos quote is on the back of the DVD case which is great news to see.

Its one installer so both SE get installed onto your hard drive and a launcher which shows you the features. Trying to get some screenshots if I can.

Awesome! We wondered about that but didn't think it would happen. Can you get a photo or scan of that? It would be ace.

Thank you.

Is there any DRM on this version? SecureRom? CD Key? Online activation? Steam?

I've only found the soundtracks and the concept art. Theres plenty of concept art on there especially for the canned film some I've seen before but others I think are new, not sure on that. Soundtracks can be found on the launcher has all the tracks for both games but I've noticed on the MI:SE soundtrack there appears to be a bonus track, I've not heard it before.

I don't know where this full video commentary session is that was mentioned in the product details from Play.com, its not even mentioned on the back of the case.

Probably the Maniac Mansion theme Harlin recorded during the MI sessions. It was mentioned in the Mojo review as a bunch of asterisks because the "soundtrack is coming soonish". Soonish in this instance, being around 2 and a half years. ;

That's odd, since Jesse told me his MM track won't be included...

Or the track that was on the CD version of SMI, but not included in the game?

I think that's most likely it, he did say he recorded that I recall.

[cross-posted from the Telltale forums]

Turns out quite a lot of concept art, and the complete story board for the MI film, is included, and it's awesome. It takes place before Secret, and includes an un-un-dead Murray, and LeChuck as a human. Guybrush is a Mighty Fisherman by profession.

Are there more background paintings from MI2 included? What's the resolution of all that stuff?

No new background paintings from MI2. All of the concept art/story board art is really high resolution, way bigger than my monitor, which is 1366*768, so I can't really capture a whole picture in its "native resolution" in one screenshot. The in-game size is about four times as big as these screenshots:

The film's "title card"

Not bad, thanks! :-)

Another thing: I assume the soundtracks are MP3? At what bitrate?

They are only accessable from a built-in player in the launcher, so I don't know. I can't find any music files on the disc or in the installation folder

Sounds quality this does. I thought they'd never lift the lid on all the movie stuff. Let the POTC comparisons commence!

Hopefully. I find this release a bit frustrating. First they announce a fully localized version with stand-alone Soundtrack, then it's only subtitled and the soundtrack is only accessible via this launcher executable with annoying clicking sounds when selecting tracks.

Tried some unPAKers but nothing worked.
