Windows 7. Cannot get KotOR 2 past intro.

Let me start off with hi, thanks for taking the time to read this.

My problem is what many are struggling with. Getting past the intro where the busted ewbon hawk is floating through space. My screen goes black and I can hear the droid for a minute then poof! Kotor 2 has stopped working searching for a solution. Which it never finds. I've tried alot of threads of advice, including this one v http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?t=194324

I can run KOTOR Flawlessly.

Once again I have windows 7,

You need to do the Dantooine lag fix:

Yessir I did. I did secROMs dl, I did the mss33.dll (or 32 can't remember which in the link it was) reinstalled, patched, ran through admin stats, did compatibility service pack 2, and XP 3, install and reinstalled in both, and I disabled the movies, did low setting, I have literaly done everything, searched everywhere and I even went to the official site and trouble shooted it there. I can't seem to figure out the problem.

Try using the original .exe file from the patch instead of the SecuROM version. Sometimes that works.

Yeah, this particular chipset usually has problems.

Try contacting SecuROM for another .exe.

I did but then restored the orginanl exe because the patched didnt work either

You need to make sure that FullScreen=1 and that the width and height values are the same under both [Display Options] and [Graphics Options]. I recommend 1280x768.

If you still can't get the game to run with either .exe, I would suggest contacting SecuROM via the link in post #2 in the Vista thread and requesting a new .exe.

In the game's main folder, open the swkotor2.ini file with Notepad. Edit the lines like I said and save the file.
