KOTOR 2: need help with the cheat console

ok so im having a problem with the cheat console. after entering codes a purple grenade with no text appears in my inventory. some items i can add perfectly fine like blaster pistols. but other items like blaster rifles would give me this purple grenade. im pretty sure im adding the codes correctly. could use some help here

Using KSE is much simpler.

can i add items to my player in kse?

You can add them to the inventory just like you would with the cheat console.

Grenades are coming up as a result of botched mod installation or conflicting installation, specifically in your .2da's.

This is not a console issue.
