Question about mods
Hello all.. I recently just picked up KOTOR for the pc, and I've played and beat the vanilla version several times. I have seen on here about several mods from a few years ago, but I am curious as to a list of mods now that are recommended for playing KOTOR without breaking the game too much.. Anything like new skins for PC, new equipment and abilities perhaps.. Maybe some new zones to explore.. I did like the look of the mod with the movie looking Jedi robes..
So, my question is, can anyone make a list of mods that they recommend for playing KOTOR? Any help would be greatly appreciated.. Thank you!

Well this isn't a very popular 1 yet, but its my mod. If your interested heres the link: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?gi03x9128o0b0xy
If your familiar with Bendak Starkiller, thats who it lets you recruit. Be sure to read the readme, if you download it, of course.

You could also try modding for yourself. Here's the tutorial that got me started: http://knightsoftheoldrepublic.filef...om/info/tutID9. It dosen't cover much besides item editing, but that's why we have Holowan. Welcome to the forums!

Yes, I was aware of that thread.. But the dates were from several years ago, so I wasn't aware if there were newer versions of those mods.. Here are a few I was interested in for sure and they aren't hyper-linked, so I'm not sure if they are still around or up to date.. Taris Lower City Restoration
Black Vulkar Base Restoration
Shadowlands Restoration
Yavin IV mod
Brotherhood of Shadow
Also, I am new to installing mods, this is the first ever game I have done it for, so I just wasn't sure if those mods were compatible anymore. Is there anything else I would need to do before installing mods? An official patch? or update of some sort?
Appreciate your patience, and thanks for all your help!

Actually, Brotherhood of Shadow is one of the very best mods to date (debatable). I highly recommend it.

Question about TSLPatcher.. I went to install it and it was a compressed file. So where do I put the compressed file? in the SW:Kotor subfolder called modules?

You don't have to install the TSL patcher to use it. Just click the .exe and pick the place where your game is installed.
