Yeah this video looks great but even so, the environments outside of the set pieces of Captain Dread's ship and the International House of Mojo are pretty empty. Just proves how effective fixed 2D backdrops (as in the original games) or constrained 3D environments (like in Tales) are - even with the best technology to hand, as in these videos, it's too difficult to fill up an open world with detail.

Escape was the worst of both worlds - fixed 3D backdrops that looked horrible.

Pre-rendered backgrounds that at times caused graphical errors! I remember :P

I figured the place looked empty simply because the maker didn't get to putting more stuff in between - I mean there were only like three locations 3Dified :P

Yes! It's a Rocking Fish!

....and interesting fact, my first ever ISP back in 1999 (unless we count bulletin boards on the Amiga 1993-1994 ish) was 'Madasafish'....

I picked up their disk from 'Dixons', back when subscription free, pay as you go Internet was relatively new.

Arrow Daily zen

Found at work (my old job) one day. It goes into a bigger pan full of hot water which is used to keep food hot.

I took this picture as evidence of how stupid cooks can be, then chucked it into the garbage can.

I can't quite make sense of that sign grammatically...

Reminds me of this thing I saw once online about a guy who got a pen stuck in a printer and put up a notice so people wouldn't use it.

Thumbs up Lolololol...!

Artisa my dear, your innocence is as charming as it is perennial.

I believe the third line of that note is meant to be read as one word and not two.

Very good.

Just know that that is an inappropriate way to use a copier. One's 'pen' isn't interesting enough to photocopy in the first place...

With real cow from 1 cow, as opposed to minced multiple cows?

Lightbulb Burger season

Actually, my mother made the cake...and tossed it out because it didn't turn out the way she wanted. But first, I grabbed a leftover hamburger patty from the previous night's barbecue and threw it on a bun for photographic comparison. The resemblance was uncanny, even though she wasn't trying to make a 'burger' cake.

My actual burgers? I ran a burger special the other day, and it sold like fried monkeys. It was called the 'California burger.'

1/3 lb. burger patty, seasoned with garlic salt and pepper and broiled to perfection.
Pepper jack cheese
Bacon
Avocado
Chipotle mayonnaise
Lettuce
Tomato
Red onions
Pickles
All on a fresh brioche bun

You want fries with that?

Exclamation My kitchen

No. The cheeseburger is an iconic American invention, and our measurements and terminology apply.

If you're truly confused, 1/3 of a pound is equivalent to 149.6854821 grams...and fries are properly called 'pomme frites,' as they come from France.

Hamburger. Hamburg. Germany. The cheeseburger is the same.

Fries are "pommes". Two syllables, pom-mes.
