For the next 16 hours, the two remasters are the price of an incredibly overpriced cup of coffee.

Are you going to skip the Grim Fandango remaster, McCoy?

Or rather: did you skip Grim Fandango to begin with, since it was in THREEDEE?!

At least the remastered Grim Fandango will work on GNU/Linux.
Still, I prefer the original in ResidualVM, because FLOSS.

Oh I thought the remaster was console specific, did they expand their borders?

And you are aware the MI special editions do have a classic mode, right?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grim_F...stered_version

"released simultaneously for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux platforms"

The Monkey Island Special Editions still doesn't work on GNU/Linux. I can run the classic mode in ScummVM, but then I can use the originals just as well. Also, I vastly prefer AdLib over pre-recorded music. Also also, the special edition of MI2 removed the original intro, which is a heresy.

Yeah, removing the original intro was CRIMINAL. Down with this sort of thing.

Wow such passion over the intro! Here I was thinking it was outro that was scandal!

To be fair they did incorporate the intro into the... logo?

You've never seen a beach chimp?

They live on coconuts and rum. Tourists love them.

Question Demon monkey

The 'horse stirrup' is a large animal trap. The thing was caught in it by ranchers, who killed and mummified it. The government presumably has it...

(Or is it a road kill of some kind, posed in the trap, with a monkey skull attached for charm?)

(No! It's a real demon monkey.)

Lightbulb Beam me up, Scotty

Perhaps someone tried to transport a human and a dog out of a starship trapped in a wormhole and the patterns merged.

We'd better check to see if the transporter's working. McCoy, get on the pad.
