Put simply, they don't work. I started on a corellian corvette (white walls), and much to my dismay it looks like a white void. Anyone know if Raven is fixing this, or better yet, if there is a fix for it in q3?

Sounds like that the transparent color for Q3 is white... That may be why you get a void.
What I would suggest doing is darkening all your graphics by a small percentage so that true white (255,255,255) does not occur.
It doesn't have to be much. Maybe darkened by about 2%.
Of course, I'm just guessing here... I've never used the Q3 editor...
