It lives up to the hype...
Morning gang... Aristotle here logged in under Jake's name from California. Zero, Chris, Jake and myself spent the day at LucasArts... I'm afraid we can't reveal much about what we saw... and what we discussed... but I did want to share one tiny bit of info with everyone.
We got to test out the all but final product today.... and I can honestly tell you it lives up to the pre-release hype. Zero was having a ball zipping around in a multiplayer bot contest while the rest of us stood behind with our mouths open just taking in the action, the force powers, the sounds of saber, the melting of metal under the saber's swipe, stunning graphics that are everything we have come to expect,.... you get the idea.
We're all in for one hell of a game... and now we know that for sure.
-Ari

Thanks Aristotle. This is excellent news. Now one of us has seen it and knows the truth. And I'm glad that your news is optimistic.

This is real Jake (from a different computer no less). I agree with Don that JKII owns. Go actual quality Star Wars games!
(also you should all read Mojo as frequently as possible. Mixnmojo: the site that loves you back, for a price.)

Well he says that it lives up to our expectations.. so my guess is you'll probably just slice through them instead of hitting them away in the final game anyways ^_^.
(and Torment... just wait 26 more days will ya? )

Thanks Aristotle and Jake. Your uplifting comments are really appreciated after the slight downer post-chat.
I'm sure there are lots of things we don't know about or expect. It looks like you guys have a head-start on the rest of us when it comes to MP.
Safe journeys, all.

Well, I hate to be a pessimist and a cynic, but was it fun, or did it have unique features that really set it apart from other games right now? For instance, it might be fun, but so is Return to Castle Wolfenstein.
I want to know, even though it's fun, if it's graphics, gameplay, and features are anything above normal rate.
Insert a witty and thought-provoking quote here, I can't think of any.

This is very, very good news. One of the biggest fears I had about this game was that we were overhyping it. Now it appears that we are not, my only other concern is about saber colour choosing. And that says a lot about how little i doubt this game will be the only game this year. (not GOTY though, it may be the best game ever but star wars isnt everyones cup of tea)

I don't trust this "Jake" person. I've seen so many people say they've been to the company's place of business and said they played this game and then raved about it. It happened in the EF and the ST: The Fallen forums, just to name a few.
This could be a worm from LEC, Raven, or just some punk kid trying to get a little attention.
Take this info with a grain of salt people...
What is real? How do you define real? If you're talking about what you can feel, what you can smell, what you can taste and see, then real is simply electrical signals interpreted by your brain.

Rest assured... that post above is from me. I was just logging in through Jake's account last night. We're still in Cali today, and fly back tomorrow.
I really would love to get into more details... but we can't say too much about our trip. We saw Outcast, Galaxies and Star Wars Knights all in action.. and all of them are fantastic to say the least. A trio of gaming power, each very unique from each other.
What we can say is this... the game really does EXCEED our expecations... and our expectations were about as high as they could get. So much has been asked about the saber battles...and yes, they are simply amazing... but overall the game is just fantastic on all levels.
Guys and gals... it's downright bloody fantastic. The screens, even the movies don't do it near the justice it deserves. I still can't help smile this morning thinking about the experience... it was that powerful... and I'm not the type to get over-excited as most of you have probably learned over the years.
Zero and Chris feel the same exact way, as does Jake.. so it's a 4-0 win for this game...
Touchdown Raven... congrats.

Now that's dedication: flying out to and staying in the most expensive area of the nation for the chance to play the almost final version.
Heck, I'm practically up the street from LucasArts, I could've gone there.

I'm not sure if you're allowed to answer this question or not, Aristotle, but I was wondering if the saber is still "baseball bat"-like? Or does it simply slice through enemies?

yeah right
I'm sorry, but I just cant believe what this "Jake" is saying. It says that they played the final version of the game. If the game was done it would have been announced as GoneGold, and would have been released very soon.
Sorry, but I think you guys are lying.
