Cool Guy First thing you will do when you'll have the game !

I'm woundring what you'll be doing guys when you'll have the games. Going to play multiplayer first or single player ? Anyway, on March 29th I'll be ready to face anyone. I'll buy the game at 10 am (EST) so in the evening I'll have some hours of training.

( I have just one wish. I really don't want JO to be played via Gamespy)

Since ill be playing it a day later than everyone due to vacation When i get it i might play vs one low level bot to get the feel of it, ya know lightsabers only. Figure the controls out , get the lightsaber moves down. Then ill move online and go in a game full of *more advanced than me players* ask them how bad @$$ it is. Start to play.

First thing I will do is play Single Player in practice for Multiplayer. In single player my first action will be to organize the controls and work up to getting force push to shove someone off a large hight. Pushing a storm trooper off a very high platform using the force is one main reason for me getting the game, cant wait!

I always go singleplayer first with a new game. Singleplayer generally gives you a more thorough understanding of everything in the game rather than forcing you to pick up pieces of it as you go along.

Well, I have the worst timing ever so I'm going on a vacation with the family to meet my father who's working abroad, on the 27th to the end of the next week. Just missing the release of JK2:JO .

Well, after the vacation I'll probably be playing it every spare time i've got. Skipping some classes and so on .

don't complain because you are getting the game one or two days late
I'll get it about two weeks late
At amazon the faster shipping isn't expensive, but the ******** won't ship games outside the USA.

And what I will do first? I'll probably play some botmatches.

I agree Zek.

I am going to win the SP game first. At least that's the plan. It's not proper or right to see like the last guy of the game, before you are supposed to... seeing like a dozen of him running around. Or other characters that are supposed to be special and you are supposed to meet at a certain time. Nor is it right to all at once have all the powers and guns and the saber that you are supposed to have doled out to you slowly across the whole game, all at once.

Nor to see some of the locations from single player in the MP context first. It's just not right, any of it.

Am I concerned about people getting a headstart? no... because I will end up being better than all of them anyway

I would say It's the other way round...
Although we will all be newbies, the old school JK players won't resist to play DM to test all the force powers.

I will most likely start off in single player or dive straight into a bot match against some random characters, the wait is killing me though, i am finding myself getting bored really easily, i will have to put up with MGS2 and moh until its out !

It'll be difficult because on one hand I'll want to finish the SP as quickly as possible to get to MP, but I don't want to rush through and ruin the experience... I think I'll just have to calm my desire for MP and just get to it in due time.

Get the hang of lightsaber blocking(offense can wait!) ... Get used to the speed of the game, figure out the stances, then jump into multi immediately

I'll play single player until I have gotten most of the weapons/force powers in the single player game. Then I will play multiplayer. And I won't play online until I am confident with my abilities.

doesn't matter which you play first we're gonna have a hell of a fun time with this game I think

When I get home with the game, I'll go upstairs to my computer, put in the CD, and start a full install of the game. While it's installing, I'll flip through the manual. Once it's in, I'll be playing some bot matches with low level bots to get started, move on to SP. And maybe, I'll eventually try MP (I've got a bad internet connection).

Are you gonna stick it in your drive and install it without taking off the plastic wrapping and opening the case and putting the CD into your drive?

Here's what i'll do:

Pick up the game, take it to the counter, pay the clerk, pick up the bag, walk outside to my car, open the door to may car, get in my car, buckle my seatbelt, take the case out of the bag, rip open the plastic wrapping, open the case, take out the instruction manual, read the manual on the way home. When i get home i'll take off my seatbelt, open the door, pick up the game and bag, walk to my door, unlock it, go inside, go to my basment, throw away the bag, open the case, throw the manual on my desk, open my CD drive, insert the disk, close my cd drive, wait for the autorun to load, yell at it for loading slowly, click install, click next several times, wait for it to install, yell at my computer for installing it so slowly, wait some more, clikc next again, click finish, click play game, wait for the game to load, watch the intro, make a new game file, click on options, change the settings to fit my comp, click ok, click on single player, click on mew game, wait for level to load, yell at my computer for loading it so slowly, watch opening cutscene, play the game.

That about sums it up Hope i didn't forget anything....

Peace is but a shadow of death,
Desperate to forget its painful past.
And though we hope for promising years,
After shedding a thousand tears,
Yesterday's sorrow constantly nears.

Unless a grain of wheat falls to the ground and dies it remains alone.

A few levels of single player. Maybe or two.

Then some botmatches in a few different settings.
-Guns only.
-Full force and saber and guns.
-Full force and saber for me vs. guns.

Then some multiplayer. Good thing I've got a 4 day weekend starting the 29th.

Do this happen to anybody?

When you have followed a game for a long time, when you finally get it and play it, you have to keep on resisting the urge to madly make screenies and send them to the leading fan-site for that game.

After trying to find new screenies for a while, I guess it makes side-effects.

Insert a witty and thought-provoking quote here, I can't think of any.

Singleplayer until I get bored of not having a lightsaber.

Then comes me vs a bot so I can get used to it.

Then I'll toss myself into some multiplayer with the other TDIR-aholics (Note: Shameless plug! ).....
