now the bar is YELLOW????

ok what gives?
idea no. 1: maybe we have to "GASP" RECHARGE THE SABER! i dont think that has evr been done before in any thing, BUT its the only thing that makes sense to me...... it does not show the sab color, both are blue.

need help with this one guys.........

It probably shows the stance. The one on the top looks like the Light stance(from Chang's description), I'm guessing the bottom one is Medium because of the color.

maybe it is how much the blocking is goin like say it starts at blue and then after u block 4 awhile it will change colors 2 like yellow then start going red maybe and when its at red that mite be the point where u mite get hit or something...

I think it's either the stance, or an indicator showing when a sabre-lock is established... When it turns yellow, you know to do whatever (Force push(?), swing the sabre, etc.) to get the upper hand...

lock-o-meter only makes scence if hes locking someone, that 2nd pic looks more like hes deflecting a blaster bolt to me.

what its look like to you?

edit ps: if it DOES tell when to do things, thats about as useful as a "upshift" light on a 5-speed car

in other words USELESS! if you cant tell when to force push..... i think a "run, luke, run!" light is more useful for the noobs dont you?

To me, it looks like Kyle is blocking (and locking with) a Reborn's sabre attack - the reborn is almost totally obscured by Kyle's body

He is definitely fighting a reborn. You can see the reborn's foot to the left of kyle.

Ahhh. After looking at the screenshot gallery on the official site I have figured out what it is

It is a graphical representation of the amount of ammo for the current weapon

In all of the older shots when he has the saber out and the display is up there is the regular blank blue color. But when he has guns out and the console is up there is a number in the center of the semicircle and then it is lit up to various degrees due to the amount of ammo left in the gun. They just spiced it up a bit

EDIT: Oops forgot this. While using the saber this will be fully lit and then the color probably does show you what stance you are currently in.

I think that it shows stance like said above. There isn't any other meter that shows that and I imagine that unless you are standing still you wouldn't be able to tell what stance by looking at Kyle. Actually the more I think about it, i'm pretty sure that its stance.

yeah its a shoe as i look at it. also if you look RIGHT over kyles head, what apears to be a display in the backround, might be the head of his actacker. but if it is that dudes got a REALY green head

also looking at the foot: its at kyles hip i dont see how he can be locking him AND being hidden compleatle behind him, unless that ***** pic rears his ulgy mug again. never say if you kill him or not in jk1. or a clone.

edit: scrap that thing about the dude having green skin, at the "foot" i see a sliver of green also. the dude(ete) must be wearing a green body-suit or robe. ideas?

i see the 2nd saber now, but it was easaly mistook for a baster bolt.(imho) how about a blow-up of the "foot" maybe 'o news-bringer???

still the size thing. if his foot is at kyles hip and we can see the top of mr. unknowns head where it is, what shape does this guy have to be to lock kyles sab? maybe realy slim? un less thrown maybe?

Whoever he's fighting, it's not a normal reborn. His enemy is wearing gold shoes, greenish pants, and has a bluish head. That doesn't sound like any reborn I've seen in the screenshots. My guess is that this is some sort of boss that Kyle is battling with.

med/reg. i think is what we've seen the most of right? it might be the blue i think, yellow doesnt seem verry heavy to me so it might be the light? have we seen heavy anytime lately? if so maybe soebody might ask raven about this, seems kinda small right? just what color = what?

ps DOH heavy is gonna be RED i bet(think vader) a screenie be nice tho.......

edit: after watching trailer again it is in there, but only 2 blue and yellow. so new idea: when yelow was up did not seem very light at all, blue did however. so the new idea for tellignthe stances is

da da da da) yellow=heavy blue=light reg/std.=NO BAR! thats teh 3rd combo if nothing is there, thats 3 right?

also cos only some of the shots in the trailer had this i have another idea(grone.....) what if in mp and/or sp the stance is shown divarent? other idea is the trailer is more mixed up build wise then we think. (2nd more likely ithink)

the blue bit doesnt really look like a head to me, maybe its just a switch or etc on the wall
its probably light stance
eg first pic hes fighting mainly stormtroopers on that level, so he uses light to block shots, but 2nd pic hes fighting dark jedi so he uses medium

Interesting to think that colours would be used to represent stances. Seems no real code for such, but still, it would undoubtedly be described in the manual.

Either that, or it's used here to represent a saber lock with that dude? Or.. hmm, like someone said, a meter to show how long you've been in saber lock or how close you are to breaking, I don't know.

Seems reasonable to think it's definitely one of those two.

Argh.. so intriguing.

If it is indeed a stance indicator, that isn't the only way to see what stance you're in. It's been confirmed that you hold the lightsaber in a different way(at least when standing still, probably moving too), not to mention the entirely separate collection of attacks for each.

Metering how long is left until the saber lock is broken is a pretty good guess too.

My guess is that your stance/fighting style will be shown visually through the player animations. Considering how tightly-designed and thought out this game allegedly is, it would be pretty depressing if sometime during the design they had to fall back to listing it in the HUD.

There are thre fighting stances, a clear hud indicates = fast style, blue = medium , yellow = large. Watch the trailer for yourself to figure it out, ah heck on second thought just enjoy you n00bness until you get the freaking instruction manual. I care not...
