having trouble in Cairn reactor level *spoilers*

I'm in the level where there are green lasers and Kyle has to destroy the three crystals to get them to stop. I've wandered through what I know of this level several times and am utterly stuck. I consulted a walkthrough and what I see in the level doesn't jibe with what the walkthrough says. It says in the beginnning of the level, I'll see a Dark jedi. There is NO dark jedi to be found ANYWHERE in the level. I'm playing on the easy level too... is this a bug?

At the beginning of the Cairn Reactor level, you have to run past two laser beams, kill a Reborn (Normal difficulty and above, I think) and use Force Speed to run up the tunnel before the laser activates again. After blowing up some laser projectors (and blowing holes in the wall) and a few more quick runs, you'll come to a hub with a four lasers attached to a central core. There's a switch on the core. Once you've flipped it, run back to the spot where you blew up the lasers and look up. You may encounter a Reborn at that point, depending on the difficulty level you've set.

But how do you get past the final 2 lasers... The 2nd one activates as soon as I get there in Force Run Mode? Any ideas?
