Question How to I make a Random Map?

Hi,

Ok please answer in easy step-by-step form, I'm new to editing in AOK and GB so go easy. I have, however extensive skill in editing in a game called Operation Flashpoint if that could help.

How exactly do I make a random map mission so that it is different every time and customizable (i.e. You choose max numbers of units, starting resources, size of map number of players etc...) and shows up under random map missions and not custom missions?

Now i am going to repeat what i think you want to do and tell you how i think you could do it...

You want to have a Random mp map...
-That you tell how many resorses of each you want on the map...
-Pop cap
-max players
-map size

And you want every thing to change.

If that is what you want...

Isn't that something that is built in already???

For either single player non campaign games, or mp games?

I don't have to blow up everything
I jusk like to.

What you're refering to is Random Map Scripting like in AoK. It can be done ... it's not easy, but it can be done.

I just don't know exactly how.

He ho to the bottle I go
To heal my heart and drown my woe
rain may fall and wind may blow
but there still be many miles to go

Sweet is the sound of the pouring rain
and the stream that falls from hill to plain
Better than rain or rippling brook
is a mug of beer inside this Took

Current Game: First Strike
You cannot without hacking the game. You can generate a random map and save it, but once saved, it stays the way it's saved.

You can, as stated, make your own map script, though, but that takes time .

No, it's not hacking ... Random Map Scripting is a built in feature. If you go to ensemblesudios.com you can find out more about RMS in AoK ... RMS in GB isn't much different
