Post I am

...and now I find my home in a place,
with all of her beauty, her flowing river, her rolling hills, With all of the majestic splendor that surrounds her,

how much greater is the hand that crafted all this? Greater is the love that flows, and grace that rolls out over us,

For it is this that I have found, for as this place can fill one with a stillness, I have found that He can fill one with a calmness inexpressible,

oh gaze of love, so melt my pride,

I strive for that what is pleasing to Him, for He hath created me, I will follow wherever He may lead, without fault I am not,

but He forgives all iniquities, through all of the difficulty in my life,
He will provide, as I head out of this place, out of this world as I know it, He will go with me,

for He is always with me, through all of the times in my life, He will carry me, it is this for which I am and ever shall be,

I am His,

Question

An interesting debut post.

Intriguing. Enigmatic.

I suspect many on this forum would not be sure how to respond. I was unsure at first.

I have a question for you:

Why are you ... muchafraid?

That post was rather cryptic so I will make mine equally crytpic.

Ahhhhhhhhhhh. I get it.

Another Jedi has joined the table! Greetings, gentle friend. You have found one of the few bulletin boards where we do discuss such things civilly, and I am sure you will like it here.

Don't mind Conor. He's a little crazy. Shh--!

Hey, hey, hey, hey!

Conor's my pal and he's okay, Zoom, even if we see things a bit differently...

His kind of commitment is very rare and definitely very cool.

But dittos to everything else you said.

Did I say crazy? I meant three-dimensional...

Sometimes they just don't give you enough catsup packets to make the trip worthwhile!

Thank you for the welcome, I was over at Power Battles a lot, they talk differently over there than here. I had reviewed some of the other posts here, and it seemed that there were more discussions going on over here that I am partial to. Thanks again,

Thumbs up

As I noted before, muchafraid, you appeared here with a fascinating debut post. Yes, I think you will find a very congenial atmosphere here.

Some of the discussions get a little intense at times, but only because so much of what we discuss here is so real and so important, and people care so much. And it seems that whenever people begin to cross the line and become a little uncivil, apologies are exchanged and order is quickly restored. No real flame wars that I can recall.

I've been very impressed with the level of maturity and depth of thinking and caring at this forum. I think you'll enjoy it here.

Welcome, muchafraid.

...and now I find my cellphone in a drawer,
with all of its magnesium casing intact and totally unscratched, its rubber buttons squishy as ever, its lcd screen glowing with divine intensity, with all of the majestic cellophane casing that surrounds it,
how much greater is the nokia-owned machine that crafted this and all other cellphone of the same model than the one that made the last? not much. i think it might be the same one.

For it is this phone I have found, for as this phone can fill one with a sense of communication, I have found that it can fill one with frustration inexpressible,

oh voice of my love, stop breaking up,

i strive for that what is pleasing to it, for it hath made me talk in old english, I will call whoever the answering machine may lead to, without fault i will remember their number,

but it forgives all wrong numbers, through all of the difficulty in looking through the phone book,
it will provide, even as i head out of this place, out of my area code, it will go with me, but i'll have to pay extra to call in other countries,

for it is always with me, except for when i'm underwater, because i lost my warranty and probably won't be able to replace it, i will carry it in my breast pocket, it is this for which i am and ever shall be,

i am yours, baby, bring it all to me!

This is nothing; XWA.net makes this forum look both sane and brilliant.

We've gotta work harder over here.

All rightey, then!

"...Which is precisely the reason why we don't encourage feathered headcases--such as the bloated grass-monkey of a dipweasel I see before me here--to engage in multi-dimensional transliteration exercises while under the influence of heavily medicated prescription cough syrup, then feebly attempt--of all things--to pilot a flaming Cessna 172R in between the World Trade Center buildings while screaming the loudest and least comprehensible set of expletive phrases that this assembled board of well-reasoning patrons has ever heard uttered in their august presence!"

Anyone bring doughnuts?

I've only engaged in multi-dimensional transliteration exercises on one occasion. Never again. I was in traction for six weeks.

From now on, I'm sticking to sit-ups.

Zoom Rabbit's first truly profound observation:

This forum seems to have two distinct 'tones'--very serious or extremely silly. There is no middle ground because there are monsters there.
