Theoretically, a development team consisting of Justin Chin and Steve Purcell alone could finish the game in four to eight years.
We don't know the name of the game. Infinite Machine clamed when they finished New Legends. I know they lost a few lead artists and programmers and a few other employees, so I guess you could call the game, if released, "Sam & Max: A Development Miracle".

I think the people who made "Simon the Sorcerer 3" have already claimed that as their subtitle.

Little fragile things kick people in the crotch. I don't kick people in the crotch, not even metaphorically.
Are you familiar with the advertizing slogan "satisfaction guaranteed"? Life isn't. The best way to fight it is do something about it. Certainly you care about Sam & Max more than I do. There should be a way for you to get it. Go figure. But if you want to be like me (though I'm sure you don't) you will direct your resources towards other benifits.

For the very desprate, there's still hope. Third party Production fills the void for independent developers looking for funds, like ours truely. Blackley is a smart businessman. I'll let him decide what is worthy of funding.

Or you could take the easy way out and load up on antidepresants.

Wouldn't it just be easier to stab yourself repeatedly in the neck and end it all?

That's an inefficient way to end it all. You'd probably paralyze yourself in the process, preventing you from continuing in the act, and probably bleeding to death slowly. Oh wait, I mean I'd rather load up on antidepresants.

Enough penetration through the wind pipe, or a slashed jugular, would be enough. If you did manage to get to the nervous system, you'd more than likely black out before too long. Bad ways to go would be drawn-and-quartering or long-term exposure to The View, etc...
