Sith Stronger?
Ok, All of us fans have heard time and again, the Dark side is not stronger, simply more seductive, quicker, easier.
However, let's look at some history:
EPISODE 1: Darth Maul attacks Qui-Gon in the desert, Qui-Gon immediately begins to lose ground and barely escapes. Then in their second confrontation, Maul takes on 2 Jedi at once and more than holds his own. Yes, I understand that Obi-Wan had not officially been given the title of Jedi Knight, but for all practical purposes, he was. Maul then defeats Qui Gon, and it is only by luck that Obi-Wan overcomes Maul.
EPISODE 2: Count Dooku/Darth Tyranus. Obi-Wan tells Anakin that he cannot take Dooku alone. I'm going to account for age in this instance as Dooku had been utilizing the force energies longer than Obi-Wan. However, he defeats Obi-Wan and Anakin. Yoda drives him off.
My question is, why do Jedi seem to always be outmatched by Sith Lords? I really want your opinions. Thanks.

Here's a good related question... Ever played a sport or gotten into a fight when you HATE (and I mean DESPISE) your opposition? You play/fight a LOT harder than you normally would... With this anger MULTIPLIED through the Force in Sith Lords, you better believe that they'd whoop some ass. But in the end, anger fails you and you grow weak. Also (and this might seem a lil hippy-ish), hate can't heal, only destroy. Because of this, Jedi are more powerful than Sith. This is because the Light side of the Force has the power to create, this power is much greater than the power to destroy. I hope I shed some light on this subject... of course, this is just my opinion...

Well, that was certainly a Freudian answer. Thanks.

hey i think i know THE ANSWER (maybe)
well look the sith is always "stronger" cuz one or two has to die or get hurt real bad so the otherone who isn't hurt can avenge them u see??
like SW E I: 1.Qui Gon Jin gets killed
2.Obi-Wan Kenobi avenges him by killing Darth Maul
SW E II: 1. Aniken and Obi-Wan Kenobi are getting hurt real bad
2. Yoda fights DOOKU (wel in this case DOOKU gets away with it
Get it?

Well, you seem to be partially correct, but what about Luke in ESB? He almost defeats Vader using his skills alone. But then Vader distracts him and Luke makes an error and whoops... bye bye hand. Also, it seems that in order to kill Sith Lords, Jedi have to kinda tap into the dark side... But Jedi aren't supposed to kill in the first place. So I guess it's kinda justified.

I would have to agree with Jaster's assessment. The Sith, driven by hate, fight more ferociously. Their style is purely offensive in nature, whereas the Jedi are defensive. Does that give one an advantage over the other? That's debatable.

well when you fight with anger your mind is clouded and you can't think on the same level as a calm person. So the Jedi would have the advantage.

Exactly. Which is probably why Vader was so powerful in ESB. He didn't hate Luke. Instead, he tried to disable and not kill (a Jedi technique I would imagine) and he got the upper hand in the end.

I'll just clarify a thing for meself here...
I believe that the jedi can kill, will kill and must kill sometimes. It's not that they cannot kill or anything. The jedi are protectors, and protectors must sometimes have to kill. They're not monks who only protects people spiritually.
The jedi are above the law and above moral.
That is what i've heard at least.
