Hmm..

Errrrr...

Any info why maps doesn't sometimes want to convert. I have a map that is almost ready and I'd like to play it with my friends, and they like it too, but it doesn't want to convert anymore when i changed light colors, fixed some brush bugs and set backround musics for it.

this is why ppl should read this thread!
wat prog are you using? in jk2radiant just look at the msdos window to see the progress of your compiling it will stop if there is an error in gtk im not to sure about ive never compiled in it before, but if you can compile there must be an error...on second thought what do u mean by "can't compile"

Hmm, there didn't came any errors when i tried to compile it, this is everything in a little more detailed version:

Ok, i have a map that i have already done. Then, after one week when i finished it, i tried to make some little changes in it (fixed 4 brushes to make them work better for different computers, changed light colors from light orange to dark, and added backround musics).

Now, i saved it and started to compile for testing (bsp fullvis (extra)). Everything went fine, no compiling errors or anything, the dos screen closed when it finished compiling, as always.

After that i started my game (multiplayer, because it's a multiplayer map), typed devmap mapname (or map mapname.. whatever) and it loaded the old level. No backround musics, no dark orange lights, no fixed brushes. I compiled it in the same folder with the older one. (with same name, of course, so it should replace it), but it seems like it didn't compile it at all? This is not my first time.

Please help if you can, this causes why I can't make any death star -style reactor bridge fight duels for my friends.

eithere you renamed your map witjhout knowing it and the bsp is diff name or the little changes you made didn't work try making a large box in pain view of your startinf piont and recompile (Check the name) then try it if the box is there your changes didn't work if not your names wrong, or some other freak prob
