Post Fledgling Question: WC vs WEG

Is the new SW RPG backwards compatable with the old WEG system, or do I have to toss my _Dark Force Rising_ source book?

Some people are really bitchy about the conversions because at one point you have to make some arbitrary descions on what to do. Basically, just be consitent with what you do in your game and you'll be fine.
