Importing Textures from other games

I was just wondering if it is possible to use textures from Medal of Honor Allied Assault and import them into JK2Radiant. I know they're both running on the same graphics engine. There are a lot of textures in AA that I would like to use for JK2. Thanks.

you probaly can but there is a gartine the textuer will srink
or the texter is not power of 2 in jk2 (size of texture)

mohaa is q3 based so therefore yes you can use its textures. but.... you might want to contact the people who made mohaa (ea) if you can use the textures. i think it clearly states in the eula for JK2 that textures from other games are off-limits unless you have specific permission from the makers of the game.

when u open pk3 u can see ppl import textuers from ef, and q3 and 2 and mabey sof in the ready me it doesnt have any idea that they asked
so they could be using it with out any persmiosn..i know alo of mapper who dne this and never got caught.

and i know a lot of mappers who simply asked if they were allowed to use them and were allowed to. believe me, if you mention the fact that the textures are from another game in your readme and you didn't have permission to use them, you'll be getting an email from that game's company believe me. they do care about the assets of their games very much. most game company's don't care tho. they'll allow you to use them as long as you credit them in your readme. i dunno what EA's policy on that is, you'd have to just ask them.

you can use any picture you want. if you just modify them a little.

hell, i imported a texture from thief! (and thats a game from 96/97)
