those are CG quality 3d studio models, and would require some serious modifications to make them into useable md3s. to be honest the amount of work you'd have to put in to modify them you'd probably have been quicker starting from scratch.
nice idea tho, ( and your onto something with the enviroments.)
(they can also be used to generate some pretty sweet textures.)

I just thought I'd bring that site to everyone's attention since there are some incredible models and evironments (among other things) that are all made for star wars. I figured someone might know how to convert some of it.

After I finish my Slave 1 prefab that i'm still working on I intend to focus my efforts on improving my skills with gmax (modeling). I wanna start off with remaking my awing prefab as a model, then i'll probably make an AT-PT, and then who knows.

So give it some time and this community here will start cranking out some new map_objects models made for JK2 sooner or later.

Finished Projects:
Sith Terminator
Awing
Tie-Interceptor
Y-Wing
Death Glider
Slave 1
Ep. 3 Jedi Starfighter

I wasnt trying to discourage you, just point out that the models were made with a very different purpose in mind, and are for the most part quite high poly. They can be converted to md3 but to get something that would be useable in game would require quite a bit of time and effort being put into it, its not simply a matter of saving them as a different format. The conversion of the enviroments to a useable format, or the use of the models to render new enviroments is a darn good idea tho.

Ok, well it's a good site anyway for ppl to get ideas from for maps...if you look in the art section there are some beautifully rendered pics that probably used a lot of the models from that site. If you look in the Environment buildings area, even if they can't be converted, they're a great reference for making buildings for the SW universe!
