speech in 'Hit the Road'
Hey, I'm an old fan of this game, and I was trying to remember how much speech there was in it. I remember that at least the intro had some speech but did the characters talk when you were just walking around doing stuff? Did Sam actually say "I can't pick that up" out loud? Thanks alot!

Doesn't that depend if you have the CD version or not?
Egh, what does it matter... the answer is "Yes."
I have no idea why anybody would by the disk version today.

Some of us still only have 5 1/2 inch floppy disc drives. Did Grim come out on that format? No, and that's a damn shame since that alienates over 95% of their target market.

First off, I'm not sure about the intro in the floppy version, but I know that there was no voice for the rest of the game unless you played CD. Second, I think that by the time Grim was released in 98, the majority of people (oh, say 95% of the target market,) had a CD-ROM drive. I think I can count off 2 people (maximum) who are still reliant on A: and B: disks. And both of them use ancient laptops. And only for word processing at that.
Just as a bit of help, you could probably get a drive that could run GF for about $30 bucks now (and hell, I'm Canadian). Just check around on E-Bay, Radio Shack, anything should do. Even an extrernal drive should work fine if you can't install one. You'll be living in El Marrow, Rubacava, and the rest before ya know it, Mercatfat.

Here is a tid bit for you, IF Grim was on the old 5 1/4" floopies (with an average max capacity of 1.2MB) it would take about 1052 disks to install... wow i have way too much time on my hands.

yeah, that's another 5 seconds you'll never see again wasted on a calculator. But wait! I just wasted my life writing that! And that! And that!!! (I'll come back later, this may take me a while to figure out...)

Yeah get jobs in sweat shops mass producing 5 1/2 drives for release into the black market in preparation for their big comeback.

I got the demo a couple days ago...
And there are just words above their heads.
I am getting Hit the Road for X-Mas from LEC store, so it will have voices for the characters?
I am confused...
