trigger_disintegrate?

Is there a way to disintegrate people in MP using a trigger - like the bespin level where if you step on the reactor you get disintegrated? I'm trying to create lava that kills to the touch instead of just flopping around on it. Any suggestions would be great if possible.

If you want to trigger instant death, I would recommend using a trigger_hurt trigger. And setting it's damage to something absurd like < 300.

I have no idea how one might go about the disintegration approach...

I have it set to 1500, and it still does the thump death. Does anyone else have any ideas?

Have you thought about placing a trigger brush over your lava to initate damage/death?

I've heard of someone using func_rotating on their lava to disintegrate players. Look at one of it's properties called TOUCH_KILL, it gives an explanation of what it does. I've never tried it myself but it should work.

well this wont help but i can tell you how to make it so the body doesnt make the "thump" noise.probably wont help though
