Okay, I have a question.

My adventure game in progress will come out in two versions.

One free downloadable version without voices

One talkie version on CD-Rom for $15.

I'm wondering if people would buy a game that's also available for free, the only difference being the spoken dialogue.

That's a tough one. If I were you, I would probably release a voiceless demo, as well as some random sound bytes that would appear in the full version. I think people who downloaded a full voiceless version would be reluctant to purchase the title just to get voices.
