Manny and... "Mano"??
Why does Manny call Glottis and some other friends of his "Mano" at times? In Spanish, it just means 'hand' (weird nickname to give a friend if you ask me!)
"I am a veektum of society!"

hmmm...
I have never heard
Manny call anyone Mano.
there is Mano a mano
which means man to man
but Glottis is not a man
and Manny is a male skeleton.
I mean Glottis is his
right hand sort of guy,
or maybe it means something else
or maybe you thought Manny said it,
another more experienced GF gamer
will have to answer your question

I have a theory. After looking it up on several online dictionaries and getting nowhere, I think the "mano" you're referring to could be an abbreviated form of hermano, meaning brother, rather than having something to do with "hand". Just a guess, but it makes sense.
Guy.

kind of like
'we don't need no sticking badges man!'

Just browsing through this thread, does anyone have any idea. I meen, how many completely different translations can there be. How can one word meen hand, brother, and man in one. It might make conversations a bit difficult. For example,
Hey mano!
What, Im not your brother!
No I meen MANO!
I aint your hand either, psyco.

You can fire a gun, you can fire an employee, you can fire a memo...and yet we have no problem keeping the different meanings straight.

Yes, it's simple as long as you know what a gun, an employee, and a memo are. If you couldn't identify the noun you'd be up in the air just like we are here.
Jolly good.

If I recall correctly, colloquialism is casual speech in written form. Kind of like quoting yourself verbatim (word for word). ****, can someone give a simpler explanation?
Jolly good.
