3dfx cards - Voodoo 4500

Hey All,

Has anyone managed to get Outcast wroking on XP with a Voodoo 4 graphics card.

I've tried all the 3dfx hacks for XP and can get the game to play but the lighting and text is unreadable. Which makes it damn annoying in multiplayer.

Probably the best thing you could do is get a new graphics card. You can get a decent one that will run JKII for fairly cheap.

I had a Voodoo 3 3500, it was ghey crap. I went and got a Geforce 4ti 4200... Oh man what a difference... get a Geforce...

Yep, you really need to use the wicked gl drivers.

BTW, I played the single player component of JK2 with a voodoo3 2000 and found it acceptable.

i couldn't get it working with my voodoo 5, so i swaped it for a nvidia TnT 64 and now i have a geforce 4
since nvidia bought out 3dfx i new there would be problems without driver updates, if i were you i would get a new graphics card.
