tell those wussies to shape up and start practicing their skillz instead of whining all day.

Re: to throw or not to throw your saber
A CHEAT?!
Yea...okay...great. So now people think saber throw is cheating?
IMHO spamming *any* move gets boring (DFA, lunge, lightning, crouch, rolling, jumping). If you spam throw 24/7, you are a boring player. But it has nothing to do with cheating.
If you have sacrificed your force points in saber throw, you should use it...unless you're dumb.
People tend to whine no matter what you do. Today someone complained about "Force-whores" in a Full Force FFA.
........... Amazing.

For me I rarely use saber throw in MP because it causes SO little damage at times and is sometimes real hard to aim.In fact, once,my saber NEVER returned to me(someone placed some scripts on me,of course) and I had to die just to get it back.I wanted to take a screenshot but somehow it won't work.Sh@t!
When you slice a person, do you slice him with the fastest stroke, or do you forcefully incapacitate him?

When I play on duel servers (which is rare) I don't toss my saber, but I've got no problem with people who do. Every tactic has a counter

The idiocy of online gamers never ceases to amaze me. Its amazing to see how many things people believe is cheating. I almost never use saber throw in Jedi Outcast (In JK-SBX 3.1 it's a must for me!), except in a limited (some disabled) force game.. especially at the coky (... uh, the board recognized it as cuss word...) n00bs who try to kick me to death (you forgot that one, Solar). It's not cheating, but I do find it annoying when someone who's good with it comes along and kills me with it over and over.. but eh. I suck anyways

Rarely
Seems like a big waste of force points to me, saber throw is good for sp and bots but not against a thinking human being.
Honestly I can't remember the last time someone killed me with a saber throw.

i just think throw should have some more penalties. the only reason vader threw his saber was cause luke was inexperiences and was caught off guard. it would be incredibly easy for a jedi to gain control of a saber throw at him if he expected it. i just think there should be more of a loss/risk when using it.

Two words: Pull Throw.
It works on the ignorant, and I only use it when I see someone abusing the boomerang.

Bots love saber throw.... and lightning.. but that's another story...
I sometimes allocate points towards Saber Throw, but Team Heal is more worth the points

umm add more penalties to sab throw? it is weak already. and the only way its good is to take shields down by pull throwing or dragers. now if it did fifty damage or sixty, it would be more useful for actual kills against drainers or healers. its almost completely useless without pull unless ur trying to hit someone down or in dfa

It's not cheating per se, but it IS cheap when people just sit back and throw, seeing as it does about 20 damage each time.
Sure, the occaisional throw is fine, but people who just throw and throw and throw and stand back so they dont have to get near you are cheap.
I prefer servers with throw disabled.

like someone just said...there is always a counter...personally i dont care if someone uses sabre throw all the time, is a lighting whore or speed freak thats just the way they play...ever wonder if your style of fighting was annoying to them?
exactly so personally i say let anyone play how they want to within the set papametres of the server ( cept cheating - they should be auto kicked and banned as well as getting someone to come round their house and kicking their ass/es )
...personally
i leave in peace...

long range throws are useless, unless ffa when u can get a lucky hit off 2 ppl. so ppl who sit back and throw prolly won't kill.
throws are best used in a pull kick combo to add 30 damage.

Throw is a good tactic for use against heavy stance players, those who keep using yellow finishers, etc. The lag in the move at the end of the animation is a good point to toss your saber.
Also, for heavy and even yellow players it's easy to toss into their swings... best to be very close. In fact, if you're close enough, the opponent doesn't even realize you're throwing.
I also use it as a counter to the blue stance monkey that runs around (sometimes with Force Speed) swinging wildly. Two or three good tosses usually chills them out.
BTW... I have a key binded to say "Here... catch!"

Throw is best used asan interlinking move in and between combos, where you want to add that extra 30hp damage, eg. pull+Kick+throw or a knock down you are too far away to reach... it can be abused badly when all one does is pull+throw though, and it becomes a boomerang contest

pull throw is also good for killing ppl who forget about drain/bacta and run after dark rage runs out.

I agree.... the newbs get annoying, but their easy to defeat when they throw.... But if you use it right, Throw can be a nice tool in a fight. The trick is to throw when they can't block.... visit me sometime on FES public... I show you what I mean.

I use as one of those "bored-and-feel-like-doing-something-different-for-a-change" moves. Heh. Now if you're playing with better and more advance players you should think before you toss your only weapon away..

If a n00b can't jump over you and spin mid air to block the thrown saber, they deserve to take the dirt nap.
I haven't tried it but think it would be fun to Pull the thrown saber when fighting Saber Throw monkeys. Be nice if you could then dual wield sabers chasing them around.
