Casablanca

I know there are lots of you - OK, at least one of you - who really want to see Casablanca, but not enough actually to make any effort to get it on video, or check when it's on or anything. Just a reminder that Christmas is the ideal time to see it. On the televisual machine, no less.

To this end, for those in the UK and Europe:

Casablanca - 8pm GMT, Christmas Eve, Channel Five (UK)
Casablanca - 9pm GMT (10pm CET), Christmas Eve, TCM Europe.

Two chances in as many hours! If you miss it this time, you really are a chump. And you can't yell at me. And that.

Of course they'll play it on Danish TV it's one of the greatest and most famous films ever. The only problem is the one they usually play on TV is *shudders* colourised.

John Huston is a good director and Humphrey Bogart is good as well. I just haven't seen that move in particular. I'll see it sooner or later.

There's no earthly way of knowing which direction we are going. There's no knowing where we're rowing or which way the river's flowing. Is it raining? Is it snowing? Is a hurricane a-blowing? Not a speck of light is showing, so the danger must be growing. Are the fires of hell a-glowing? Is the grisly reaper mowing? Yes, the danger must be growing 'cause the rowers keep on rowing, and they're certainly not showing any signs that they are slowing. AAAGGHHH!!!
