My brother and I are newbies in JK2. I wanted to create server on my pc so that we can play against each other with some bots. When i set up a server, he cant seem to find it (it is not listed). Is there a menu item I need to have on? a trick? or this not possible. I have cable internet, he has dsl and we live about 20 miles away from each other. Any help?
when you have a server, let your brother type "\connect YOURSERVER'SIPADRESS" in the console, where YOURSERVER'SIPADRESS the IP adress of your computer is
What you need to do is add gamespy to your list of master servers. What that does is it puts your server on the gamespy list.
In console type sv_master2 "master0.gamespy.com"
That should add you to the gamespy list & it will definitely help you getting clients; But if you don't have a fast connection like at minimum of a 512k DSL (up & down) or higher, people will be lagged & will probably not want to play.
