Changing your name color

How do you change the color of your name to yellow, purple, etc.

I've tried holding down the shift key, pressing 6 and then choosing a number ex: 3 = Yellow but it only changes my name color in the score menu and everywhere else it has this "^#" in front and is still normal color.

Is there a better way of doing it?

i found a program a while ago that enables you to change the color of each letter in your name through a easy-to-use thing outside of JO...let me find it...ah, here it is Nameset
