Help CM stay afloat. New clans especially.

Hi everyone. My name is BigTeddyPaul and I am one of the leaders from Crimson Masters. We have been around for about 6 months now we need people to keep our clan. We have had the usual new clan thing. We have had about 35 members in all but we are only down until about 6 right now. We need people or else CM will be kaput. We are looking for the following:

ANYONE who is respectful
Must play saber and weapons

We will take anyone from anywhere. The only stipulation is you must be able to play so if you come from the UK or Hong Kong it does not matter as long as you make the matches.

Our clan is the usual: be respectful, no cheating, etc.

If anyone is interested please send me an Email at sexyprz@hotmail.com .

Have fun!

BigTeddyPaul

Yikes...you guys really had a drop in membership! Don't feel too bad though, the community is really fragmented now Kudos on you for trying to maintain your group, but perhaps you should think about integrating into another established jk2 clan. It would be better than disbanding. Like I always say, we should do everything to support the jk2 community and existing clanbase. Our jedi team has been fortunate in that we are part of IRON, a multi-gaming clan, so we have had rock hard stability ever since jk2 came out. Reptile IRON aka SuperLen

Only problem is most clans use saber only and we are weapons and saber. Or they are only darkside people or the exact opposite.

LFJA would gladly be allies with your clan. If you wanted to join with our clan, that would be fine too. KLM clan joined us a while back, and it's members are now LFJA. However, they still play with the KLM tag(that I last checked. It's been a while).

I await your response.

When you say weapons and saber, what gametypes are you playing? For duel, we are NF saber but for our CTF team we are guns, saber and full force. We like to mix it up so that our members can enjoy a diversity of gameplay. If you are interested in checking us out, come by the site or catch us online this Thursday-we will be out in the community on duel public servers. Reptile IRON aka SuperLen

I sent 2 PM to 2 men who wanted to join my clan before. There is a possibility that they will respond to my message.

IF they do not respond, then we'll have to extend the clan to places where no man has dared to journey!

It's highly likely that there'll be some people at www.zone.msn.com that might join to keep this clan alive!

Long live CM.

The best thing to do is get out there an advertise. As Topshot said, the MSN Zone might be a good place to recruit people.

I've heard there's quite a few role-playing servers there, I'll have to take a look one day.

Good luck with the clan, and don't give up.

Thanks for the support Hekx.
I'll go recruit in AOL chatroom.

Good news:

CM does have a partially functional dedicated server. What I mean by this is that I can run one on my computer without really any hassle (besides from my mother) most of the time. It will become active anytime around 8 to 11 AM Pacific time and end ???? as long as I can keep it up that night. The latest will be about 3 AM Pacific. I believe it works because 3 different users at least tried to log on. I do not believe if they did successfully or not but they tried too. Also, since no one in CM besides myself can currently play on their computer there was no way to check the other day. Until people in my clan can play there is little reason for me to bring it up unless there is a request to do so.

Don't die, CM!

It's sad how things have turned out recently with you guys, did the clan you guys merged with go belly up? 'Tis a shame, wow things have changed since then for me in terms of experience when I was with you all. Well good luck to you and hopefully you guys'll pick up soon

They chose to switch over to Galaxies because they think they will get more player support which they are probably right.

a little wisdom i share with you. a clan is not made in numbers. its made in dedicated members. 3 ppl can make a kickass clan, it doesn't have to be 30 ppl. and btw the reason ur clan has flopped is cause you let ANYONE in.

He does make a good point there. Dedication over Numbers.
It's better to have active members, than the world's biggest clan.

I will agree about the dedication is the key. I have stated this to my clan mates, along with communication, since the very beginning. I do not agree with the letting in anyone comment though. Just who do we not let in? Noobs? I was once a noob. Now I am better with a saber and weapons than practically anyone I know. I very rarely meet anyone who is better than me with weapons and I can be bested in the saber by a decent percentage. Overall though I, please excuse the phrase, "own" with weapons and can hold my own with a saber. I have only been playing for a little over 6 months now too. Do you not let in people from other countries? The only stipulation in CM is that you can make the sessions on a decent basis. It does not matter if you live in England or Hong Kong. Who exactly do I not let in CM especially with all the booming demand for clans these days. To me 3 is not enough to make and continue with a clan. If one person cannot make it you are down to 2. CTF is no fun 1 vs 2. Same with TFFA. Some of those FFA maps are just too big for 3 people and it does get semi boring sometimes facing the same people over and over again.

Our clan has not fully flopped either. Yes we are facing a dilemma and some of us are wondering whether or not to continue with it. Our clan has lasted over 6 months which is a lifetime compared to some of these other clans. Our thread here is the 2nd most viewed (next to the clone troopers) and it is the most replied in for clans.

We have had many people come and go. Some members chose to leave us and go to Knights of Alderaan (Hi B and Hekx) because we would not switch over to just sabers. As I stated originally this clan was founded as a weapon and saber clan and will die as one or without me if push comes to shove. Same thing happend with Trickster a long time member who decided he needed a change. We have gained and lost recruits because they wanted to see if they wanted to be in a clan or not: Dracofyre, Solidious Snake, The Mule are just some of these people. We also have had people who have not been able to gain access to the internet. The main two that come to mind are one of our founders Kami and Phantom.

Basically I am sorry for opening up a clan that anyone can participate in based soley on their wanting to have fun. This clan has had major downsides and major highs. I have tried everything I can to get more people involved through playing random servers and saying advertising, posting here for some help from the community which I really haven't had either through small new clans trying to make it or new people wanting to taste in the fellowship of Outcast, to even learning how to make a site on geocities for my clan, AND MUCH MUCH MORE!

I am sorry that this went on a wee bit but I get a little hot under the collar when people tell me my clan has flopped.

I also must edit this in here. We even lost on of our founding members because he was getting married and felt like he needed to grow up. Jessman rocks.

I'd say the same thing about our clan not flopping. This clan HAS had upsides and downsides.

I'm getting some practice in when it comes to sniping off people (I really need to work on that, being BigTeddyPaul can outsniper and outsaber me!) But i still try to make it to clan events. I do play Jedi Outcast every once and a while, but that is to keep my saber and gunning skills from rusting to the point of no return.

Right now I'm trying to get my computer to work correctly, being since it was infected by evil Trojan viruses (which I zapped), so I won't be able to make it to practices until my computer is fully functional.

And there is just stuff like Topshot's thing which we even have had a few of which leads to a decrease in active members which usually caused our current active members to want to leave because no one else came.

Cause and effect.

Also, if your saying don't let noobs in, well, you could be included. To many, your a noob. 1 - Join date. You just joined.. 2 - Your acting like a noob. We haevn't flopped. We made it so everyone can come, because we can help them get better. If you have a perfect clan, no one will want to play you.

There were about 7 trojan viruses on my computer. One, my brother said, disabled the sound speakers, and another one kept my display from switching to 32-bit color so I couldn't play Jedi Outcast at all. Just talking about that stuff gives me the creeps.

And no, I wasn't saying not to let noobs in or that I'd have a perfect clan, I was just talking about how I train alone sometimes and try to come up with ways to win against others. However, winning is not what matters to me. It's facing overwhelming odds when there's more people on someone else's team and not much on mine. I don't even care if I come out winning or losing. I only care about having fun facing off against others. Isn't that what fighting an honorable battle is all about? Having fun playing others?

As for your thinking of me as a noob, that is disrespect and shall not be tolerated!

Ummm Z the Grendel people might have been around since the beginning and they just don't really post on LF so your assumtion that rumor is a newbie is just that an assumtion.

Zbomber, didn't realize what your clan name was till just now...
Just a coincidence, I assure you...
BTW, a small clan can be the most fun of all. Dread and myself (founders of CL) actually met in another clan...
Right now we're the only two members, but having a blast anyway...
Good luck to you!

LF is not the end all, be all thing for the jk2 community. if i were a newb i wouldn't be in the top ten on the FF and NF dueling ladders for TWL (well not on FF cause they messed up and awarded a win to my opponent, not me) and a clan flopping does not mean that it is dead. it is simply a point where something went terribly wrong and your members dropped off the map. the same thing happened to one of my old clans. and if you truley think that i am a newb, then we can settle that dispute in duels, or a clan match. (and don't cry about too few ppl cause battles are what kick clans in the pants) i said nothing about newbies. even they can contribute a great deal, IF and only if, they are dedicated to the clan's survival. hell the person that started the grendel clan with myself and a few others was a newb when i recruited him. other than him, myself and the other six have been around since the beginning.

Well you said that we let anyone in. Since most of us have many hundreds of miles apart to seperate eachother then how do you descriminate in letting people in? So who would you not let in Grendel and how do you know if you were correct in letting them in? I took newb as the answer because it is not like we won't let white people in the clan or something since we cannot see them. Just who should we not let in?

I believe you are referring to the phrase: "IF and only if, they are dedicated to the clan's survival." How the hell are you supposed to know that before you let them in?!?

Hi all...I'm evads. I want to basically be as much a member of CM as I can in every way, besides wearing the [C:M] tag...I'll map for you guys, play with you guys, duel with you guys, anything besides bear CM tag. All people here are great.

Hehe, thanks Altus.
And merlinova, don't worry about it. I'm sure other clans had the name Crimson before we did.

if you just see them and then say "ok you are in" they haven't had to put forth any effort, then the vast majority will not see a reason to stay in and participate. they are the "hey a clan, imma get a free ride" type of people. if they actually have to put forth effort to get into the clan, and have to put forth effort to keep the clan going and better it, then they will do one of three things: 1. not join 2. join and then grow idle because they don't want to help or 3. do whatever they can to help out. i'm in a clan for several different games. it is nearly seven years old because we required people to contribute.

Makes sense. What we have is basically creative differences. I prefer the way where we do not descriminate at all. If you want to make a skin that is great. If you want to make a server that is great. If you want to recruit that is great. If you just want to come to the sessions and have fun that is great too. I do not basically want to not allow someone to join because all they want to do is have dun for two hours and no more. All that I require is that you show up most of the time. That is it. For those who want to lead there are always spots available whether it is making a server or writing the semi-often announcement Email to everyone with what is happening with the clan.

I do appreciate you expressing your views on running a clan Rumor even though I do not totally agree with them. Heck you are probably right since you have been going for 7 years.

Z: I told you Grendel wasn't a new clan and Rumor just probably didn't post often. Foot in the mouth on that one.

What are peoples thoughts on expanding the game types? I know not everyone has the same games BUT I know some of us do. There are even some free demo games out there. Americas Army or Battlefield 1942 are the only ones I play every so often.

I don't like you.
Yes. There caln has been around for awhile. I'm sure there great. He said noob. He meant in game, but I could call him a noob. NOT because hes a noob in Jedi Outcast. Heprobably is good. I'm saying because of HIS join date, which he just joined this month. I;m not calling him a noob. I was just saying that join dates make a difference.... yeh... I think... *shrugs*

Well, I was registered before you! *Looks at post count* We won't talk about posts.

Ok guys, I really liked and still like CM. So, hi. I'm in another clan, and I don't know if they allow being in 2 clans, but they can't object if I hang out with good old CM.
