Music

When you're just kicking back and posting here, what music do you listen to?

Right now [and pretty much all the time] I'm listening to Dave Matthews Band. They are just a laid back band......kinda like me, I'm pretty laid back so I really enjoy their music.

Thumbs up

Yeah I listen to trance a lot too. The vast majority hard trance though, but with a few uplifting/progressive thrown in for good measure.
I hope Com likes his hard trance, he's living in the home of it.

My fav though is probably new school ("Nu Skool" if you're a ful sik rava) happy hardcore - Mostly UK stuff. Newer happy hardcore is what I listen to mostly, + the odd old-skool tune.
Also the odd hard house track, hard NRG, hardcore, D&B - whatever specific song takes my fancy.

I also listen occasionally to older(ish) punk and ska if I feel like being nostalgic.

My current favourite track would have to be Scott Brown - Turn Up The Music (Breeze & Styles mix)
Sik new track.

Rogue15, I saw one of the peeps who made the music for gladiator on Good Morning Australia today.

Bert Newton said she was the most relaxed person he'd ever had on the show. She said it took six months to compose, though she composed the music with another person. They showed another person in the studio, though I don't know if he was the one who co-composed the music.

Myself, I don't really listen to music. Though ironically I can play a few musical instruments and have written music also.

No, I am no relation to Krusty.

Rap music mostly. Each of Eminem's albums since "Infinite". Also a little Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit...

In the weekends i hear everything like techno and so.

Let's see...I'm still listening to some weezer and offspring and 3rd eye leftover from my punk days.. but I'm mostly listening to soundtracks right now for whatever reason. All John Williams. All the time. I'm a big Jars of Clay fan... I like some new rap/R&B.

Every now and then, though, I gotta break out the Grandmaster and the Sugarhill gang... just to let loose.

John Williams; Either SW or HP. I also like both Lord of the Rings soundtracks.

Of course, to me, nothing beats Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D minor.

I am now listening to Metallica One, from their "And Justice for All" album.

I love this one, because it was one of the first cassettes that I have ever owned. I played this so much that I wore out the writing on the tape. I didn't need it, I knew it was my favorite.

*time to be a cranky old fart*

"Old School" anyone using this term
better not be refering to the 90's as old.
"IF" you were born in the year of big brother
(litterary reference - look it up) or any time after
you got to do the time, get a few decades
under your belt because your still wet behind the ears
and fresh from your nap mat in kindergarden.

giving an oscar to somone
who's song did not even get played
on oscar evening is "SO WRONG"
the song had questionable lyrics
and was not fit to air on national television
therefore it is not fit to win an award
the caliber of an oscar.
the artist did not show up to collect his award
therefore he is not fit to win this award.
(possibly the artist) did not show up or sing
his song, because they wanted him to change
or delete a few words; well if the artist known
as a popular candy is SOOO Worried about
artistic Integrity or selling out, guess what?
that's what an oscar is all about.
therefore he does not deserve to win this award.
and if some dirt bag gets up to accept an award for you
and then tells everyone what a nice guy you are;
who by the way is always shooting off his mouth
offending people, hiring body doubles,
getting sued by his own mother,
you got it, Eminem
the only oscar you deserve
comes in a bun and has mustard on it.

*besides Gollum's Song grom the LOTR TT
was such a great song. too bad no one heard it
cause by the end of the movie, everyone was
rushing to the washrooms as quick as a bunny*

christian rock, disturbing....
*shudders to think of it*
what's next Hebrew rock?
unless it is School House Rock
(now that's old school)
I think I'll have to pass the collection plate
on religion based music fads

Beware the lollipop of mediocrity, lick once and you suck forever
