I like pie.

Don't you? :P

If you want, you can also download my really cheesy video ingame of me doing some jumping, thanks to Eagle_e7 for putting it together :-)

At least it gives you an idea of the map layout. Video (9.5 MB @ 1:02 min): http://www.nrgteam.com/downloads/ffa.zip

When you say pie, do you mean pi (3.141....; irrational number used to find the measurements of circles) or does that have absolutely no relevance to this.

Firstly, you are an artist (IMHO), and that is bueatiful art.

Secondly, I am going to guess you mean pie as in pi, 3.14 because of the large numbers of curves....if not then you have me. I just have to say that is pure bueaty.

well since we are talking about pi, lets rate these shots with the pi scale,

perfection being - 3.1415

outstanding being 3.141

good being 3.14

My score is: 3.14159265354!

Great job, nothing could make that architecture any better. *tear*

Well, Truthful Liar, is that what you meant? Pi, because of the curves? Yes. I do like pie lol.

Nice shadowtrooper tweaks. (the decals)

I think there's a reason he said "pie" and not "pi."

Only the humble variety.
The architecture looks good, but the texturing looks a little bland. I know it's going with the same theme as the duel map you made, but why not throw in some new textures?

Because I don't have to. You'll see so much variety in NRG's FFA Map Pack. (Not to mention I'm planning to work on 4 ffa maps.) :-)

Downloaded the video. Nice job!

I took a look at the leader board during the movie "leader: -17"
Woah.

I'm recognizing this from your other recent showcase thread. Especially the conveyor belt-looking thing that is suspended above the fog.

A few higher res pictures. They're similar to the others, just more detail added in the shots. The main reason I'm posting these is because I've just finished the hinting and caulk hull so now I can add as much detail as I want (to an extent) and concentrate on the rest of the layout. >:]

Expect more screenshots of other areas and finished detailed hallways. :-)

I'm a truthful liar, what can I say? Actually, I'm not lying, I've made this for something in particular (as well as other skins I'll be working on) and won't be available at all untill we finish a special project. ; )

I fixed some of the lighting and added yet some more detail, don't fret though, I get an average of 110 fps in this map and there's still more that can be done to optimize it. :]

Would you all like some cream with that pie? I sure would. :-)

Nice. I wish I could make corkscrews like that. Why do all the mappers that are excellent with architecture map MP? We need more SP levels. (of course, I may be biased. I only map SP) I know it's much harder and more time consuming, and fps is more of an issue because of the reborn "advanced" AI. (again, sorry)

Lite, it looks like well placed light entities. Which is it? Shaders, entities, or both?

Not very long, but certainly worth the little time it should take to download since it shows everything I've done so far.

This is incredible. True originality. It's not enough that one has the considerable skills to do things like the corkscrew, you also must have the imagination to even be able to design anything as surrealistic as that. I only now begin to realize that your name, The Truthful Liar, is in a certain sense very fitting to the ethereal mood of your maps. My humble congratulations.

That's probabaly the most well-worded thing I have ever read on these forums Lassev, you're a natural born poet

That corckscrew style structure is a wonderful bit of architecture and lighting, very nice indeed!

Second most well-worded thing I've ever seen on these forums. I saw one thing in the swamp about how great video/computer games in general are. Really long and very, very, beautiful. It was incredible read. Lassev, yours is really good too.

Wedge has a reference thing on his site on simple creations, but nothing like that. I made my first successful simple patch mesh. An entire bathtub. Not much, but hey, it's a start.
